I broke a three pin bow light bumped a dock I know it was stupid but I did. I bought a attwood universal replacement know when I plug it in with the switch off it comes on and it causes my dash lights to run crazy right can't figure out the difference between the lights any help would be appreciated

You sure you didn't create a short in the receptacle?

amazing I saw this thread. I took the bass boat across the lake to an Island to go kill some woodies and teal and when i got back I kicked my bow light off with my wader boots. got a limit of the 2 best eating birds in the sky though

No short tore the boat apart looking for one turns out the wiring hookup is different but it didn't have a wiring diagram after two hours of tech support I figured out that there universal wasn't had to rewire the three pin base got it going right at dark and boy am I glad got a buddy tourny with my dad as a partner in the morning

I had a similar issue. My dash and fishfinders only worked when the light was turned on.

Ended up returning it and ordered a different brand. I don't remember what I ended up with.
