Not Like Last Year

Last year started off on a real blaze, 10 pound jacks everyday. Not this year, caught only a dink about a 28" snook......not photo worthy, and out of season. Did pop a few nice bass in the afternoon.

Well the year is just starting and Im sure you'll be on em soon enough. Congrats on the bass!

Mrs. Matstone is correct SirSnook. The year is young and you're too darn good to go into a funk.

Tight lines and happy New Year!

I appreciate the vote of confidence. The fish have just not been around for inshore fishing, everyone is struggling, we call it the winter doldrums. Sometimes we can go for a week or 2 without a strike.

My bass fishing has been going ok, my ponds for the most part are good. I normally catch good numbers and size in my backyard canal, but the going has been abnormally slow, I don't know why and no one fishes it but me. I fish a canal a few miles from home, what a difference, good numbers and size. I recently took a ride into Broward county about 50 miles from my home, hard not to catch bass and peacocks, location does make a difference.
