I'm not a Minnesotan but rather and Iowan whos family owns some cabins on Long Lake in Detroit Lakes. I usually go up there once or twice a summer for a week or so. I am going to be up there from June 4th-11th if anyone is in the area and wants to meet up and go hit a bigger lake in the area

We set ourselves up for it when we are out pretty much in the snow, with shorts and t's, the second it hits 45 degrees.

Go out and throw a spinnerbait for pike...if you get a bass, that's a bonus

I know Cabelas has the Zillion reels...have you tried calling them?

I'm 27, I have yet to meet a bigger bass fishermen then me. My wife says I talk about it in my sleep.

I'm a graphic designer by day and build my own lures on my free time.

No boat yet, just got married, hopping by fall or next spring. So for now I just go to the family cabin up by Alexandrea.

Haha sorry we weren't able to meet up! I had the wifes bday party all weekend. "like" our Facebook page for a chance to win some free jigs, otherwise our production time is at a week....for jigs where everything is manually produced, that is really good time...good things come to those who wait

West Metro, about 10 minutes west of Tonka here. I do fish Tonka and Waconia quite a bit because they are close. I fish a small tourney series called B-Dawgin I found on Classic Bass.

Izan, my next tourney is on Prior and never been on the lake. Any tips (or spots if you're willing) on that lake? Send me a PM if you want. As I understand it there are lots of small fish so getting a limit shouldn't be hard. Would be nice to get a kicker or two for the bag. I plan to head down there to pre-fish this Saturday.
