Stand Up Jigs

Featured Replies

I am going to start using jigs this season and just bought some stand up jigs. I plan to use a Berkely Havoc pit boss as a trailer. My question is should I T-rig the trailer or not? If anyone use this combo or has any ideas I would appreciate the advice. Thanks.

Is it a traditional jig with a skirt and weedguard? If so, no Texas rigging. If it's a stand up jighead alone, yes, texas rig it.

I fish GMAN and NorthStar jigs. For trailers I am a

big fan of Rage Tail Baby Craws, Craws and Lobsters.

Rigging is through the first joint of the tail then

up through the body at the bend in the hook. The Craw

should stand up with claws in fighting position.

I forgot to add that it is a skirtless Chompers stand-up jig. Thanks guys.
