Vendetta Vs Verdict

Featured Replies

Let me start off by saying I wish I could just get the Veritas but they dont have a 7'6" HVY available in it. So what my question is, those of you that have used the vendetta and verdict is the verdict worth the extra cash? And why? Also those of you that fish the vendettas chime in and tell me what you think of them.

Thanks!

I use the Vendetta rods and I love them, They are strong yet the sensitivity is the best I have ever used...I use 7' MH & M .

Honestly, I would look somewhere else. I have heard great things about the Veritas but have heard a lot of troubles with the Verdict and Vendetta. Not to mention the warranty isn't great. Maybe you could give a Shimano Compre a go?

or you could check out cashion rods, a lil more money but well well well well worth it.

I have the Veritas 7'6" Medium-Heavy and its power is definitely under-rated, its a heavy power rod IMO. I have several other Med-Hvy Quantum, Shimano, and Field & Stream rods, both casting and spinning and none of them have the same power/action of my Veritas. I use it for jigging & Flip&Pitching heavy cover, throwing frogs, and even big swimbaits. I would suggest going to the store and handling the Veritas 7'6" MH then comparing it to some other MH rods before you make a decision.

I had a verdict for a season and I hated it. Way too stiff and sensitivity was lackluster. There are much better rods in that price range.

Christian is right, the are under rated, so a MH is more like a H... Check it out, I love my veritas rods.

I've never used a verdict, but I had a 6'6" M vendetta for a while and I loved it until it broke. I also had a 6'6" MH veritas break on me. They were both great while they lasted, and maybe I just had bad luck with them, but I think abu garcia might have a problem with their manufacturing line.

The V series rods have a 3 year warranty on them, send the broken rods back in...

I was able to with the veritas, but the tip of my vendetta ended up at the bottom of the lake and they require the entire rod for replacement :cry4: Let's just say those two rods breaking made me weary of buying rods from them again, even though they have the 3 year warranty
