The Crapper Game

So, doing my business, flipping through an old BPS catalog yesterday.

I started noticing something pretty entertaining. I was looking at the various makes and models of cranks. Now, you know that BPS has trained professionals that take the photos of baits for their catalog.

There were a surprising amount of baits with the split rings all opened up.

Now maybe the fact that swimbaiting turns you into a real stickler for pristine hardware, or maybe I am just OCD, but stuff like that makes me not want to purchase baits.

Most of the brands had at least one messed up ring in their spread but Rapala/Storm was a freaking joke.

I dont know why I found this amusing, but look at your BPS next time you are on the can. Its like a fisherman's "Where's Waldo" but with split rings, lol.

You mean opened up as in the coils are not laying flat to each other and you can see daylight through them ? Yeah, I see what you mean.

I too have a stack of catalogs on the back of the throne :)

Another corny BPS trait (and somewhat Cabela's) is the item descriptions peppered with gems like "Big 'ol Mr. Bass" ,"Come and get it" , "Rings the dinner bell" etc.
