I recently got a pair of Costa Del Mar sunglasses with 580 Glass lens. One lens at the very top gets moisture in it, is this normal, is this a defect? Or is this normal for glass lens? Someone help...it's really annoying me. I can't have them on my face for 10 minutes without one lens doing that.

I have owned a set of costa 580's for quite some time now and I have never experienced that. I think it is a defect. I would contact the company where you got them.

I have had Costa's delaminate, but never build moisture in the lens, Send it back to Costa and get a new pair, I love my 580s though.

Is it actual moisture IN the lense? Or is it just when you put them on your face, they get fog/condensation.

I've had a set delaminate also. They have a great warranty so it should be easy to get the fixed or replaced.

I just had my regular (not 580's) delaminate for the second time. They said this happens when water sits at the bottom of the frames on the lenses. I would contact them before you have more issues.

It happens when I put them on my face after about 5 to 10 minutes. It seems to only be one lens...but when I put my Polarized oakley's on...the left lens also does the same. So I'm assuming it's just b/c the len's are glass?

Ah, BINGO.

All glass lenses fog. Oakleys are not glass lenses, so they dont fog easily. However the costas are, and thats a nature of the beast. If one just fogs up in a certain spot, its the shape of your face and the glasses that cause that, because faces are not perfectly symetrical.

I'd suggest buying an anti-fog coating to apply to the lenses.

Get some Cat Crap lenses cleaner. It will keep your lenses from fogging up. Put it on once to twice a month.
