Cool Show -

Zona's really living it up - a couple of shows at the Kingfisher Society and then he gets to play tug-a-war with the gorilla's at Falcon . . . . must be nice.

I seen it today great show.

It was a good show, they definitely caught a few "slounches" as Zona would say

I just watched the Zona show. Does anyone know what rods they were using? For the large bass Zona caught, they said it was a G Loomis protoype 956 cranking rod. Also, at the beginning of the show, the guest was using a G Loomis Split Grip that was green in color (so the GL2's are out) and it looked like a heavy rod (almost like a flipping stick). Could it be a prototype NRX flipping rod? That would be nice!

Saw it today. That was possibly one of the most serious attempts at a hookset I've ever seen. I'm surprised Overstreet didn't get a set of jaws back when he reeled in.

I do have a question. I'm sure I've seen others doing this but I noticed it for sure today when Overstreet was reeling in a fish...how many of you hold the rod below the reel when fighting a fish? I always hold above the reel to gain more leverage. I've seen many tv guys look awkward when reeling in fish and just realized today what it was when I noticed him holding below the reel.

Just watched it. I'm surprised. I'm usually not a big fan of Zona's on the water antics. But he toned it down this week and the show was much more enjoyable.

Just watched it myself and yes it was a very good show and Zona was a bit more reserved on the water today.

lol geez, if yall dont like how Zona acts, you must really hate how Iaconelli acts. I mean god forbid someone have a good time while fishing or filming their show. You could always watch Old Man and Bobber-Ann instead...

Just got done watching the rerun this morning and all I can say is those were some real hawgs.

That and thanks to Overstreet, I now have a craving for Chicken Fried Steak!

Not knocking Zona. I understand he's producing a show that he believes the audience wants. And that's great. But we're all different and like different things. I watch fishing shows to learn things. I'm not interested in seeing a guy haul in fish after fish all day if he never shows me EXACTLY how and explains it well.

Sure, I understand guys having fun while fishing and celebrating great fish. If it wasn't fun, I wouldn't be out there so much. I just don't go in for what I consider the over the top stuff. Obviously, there are a lot of guys who feel differently about it or his show would not be on TV. And it's all good.
