Cusano inducted into the NY State Outdoorsmen Hall of Fame

On Saturday, February 11, 2012, the Board of Directors of the New York State Outdoorsmen Hall of Fame voted overwhelmingly to accept Michael Cusano’s nomination into the Hall.

Michael will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on April 28, 2012, during the annual banquet in Canastota, NY.

Michael’s activities in the Outdoors are numerous and each echoes the theme of the New York State Outdoorsmen Hall of Fame -
"IT’S NOT WHAT YOU TAKE, BUT WHAT YOU GIVE".

Some of Mike’s volunteer activities include:

Working with Junior Anglers

Teaching Children from the Salvation Army Barnabus Center to fish

Instructional videos on fishing and educational programs

Water Chestnut eradication program

Cormorant hazing program

Bass Live Fish Release Boat

Conservation Director New York State B.A.S.S. Chapter Federation

Taking a Soldiers Fishing Program

Economic Development/Promoting Fishing across the state

Vice Chairman, Region 7 DEC Fish and Wildlife Management Board

Chairman, Onondaga County Legislature Fisheries Advisory Board;

President, New York State B.A.S.S. Chapter Federation,

President Salt City Bassmasters;

Director/Vice President, Onondaga County Federation of Sportsmen’s Clubs

I don't know Mr Cusano personally but from all accounts and the resume above the honor is well deserved. Congratulate him for me and thank him for his contributions.

Mike did the other half of Burnie's presentation at the seminar last year.

Well deserved honor and recognition for all of Mike's involement on so, so many levels of Bass fishing in the state of NY..
