What baits to get?

Featured Replies

Ill be fishing a tournament next Sunday on Grand lake in North East Oklahoma. we have been getting lots of rain and the night time temps between now and next Saturday are supposed to be from 58-62 degrees. I need a recommendation on what baits I should get? Im going to call my partner before next weekend because im sure he knows what hes doing but just thought I would also ask here?

What's the water clarity like? Jigs and spinnerbaits work in just about any clarity so those are two presentations to take anywhere.

If your lake has cover in the shallow flats try cranking the BPS RC 1.5 if the water is clear or if under low light conditions or stained water try the RC 2.5., these 2 lures can load the boat.

Weightless tubes can be deadly on shallow bass. Most 4" tubes will rig nicely on a 3/0 EWG hook.

Ive really been wanting to try tubes! There one of the soft plastic baits ive hardly ever used. Can you recommend a brand that I could pick up at academy? Are the zoom tubes any good?
