Greedy Lil Thing

Went out bank fishing at lake Purdy after work today. My buddy informed me that the bass were destroying cranks and jerk baits today. So of course I got to get in on some of that action. I got up to the main feeder creek and treked out to my secret spot. I was tossing a Bomber jerk shad along a timber lay down and felt that tell tale tug. I set the hook and fought this lil fella to the bank. Only fish I caught all day. But, hey least i ain't get skunked.

That crappie thought he was a big shot, nice to get out and get a tug though.

I catch more crappie every year fishing for bass with jerkbaits than I do on crappie baits. It's hard to get it to the bass if the conditions are right it seems like!

That's the first and only crappie I've ever caught. Was definitely fun catching him though.

They are fun to catch. Thanks for sharing.
