Was just browsing some tackle sites searching for the new zoom 12" ol' monster worms and ran across the 16" gambler baits worm!

They come in a clear pvc/plastic tube,looked like 2 maybe 3 worms per package..Just wondering if anyone has fished these worms or had any tales of fishing these serpents for hawgs!

What hook size [9/0-11/0] non EWG to cover the length a little better? and rod reel set up? I'd like a 7' 6" heavy flippin stick with maybe 20#+ fluro/hybrid.

i'm thinking falcon or maybe el salto they would shine,but would like to hear of some stories if anyone has tried em.

12" in my neck of the woods is even pushing it, so no I have never even heard of a 16" worm.

I can imagine down on the Texas lakes you might get one bite a day on one, but it would be an oinker

I have some 17" "bullwhip" worms. It's a giant handpoured C tail worm that I fish on an 11/0 owner hook. I've fished mine mainly at night in lakes in NE Kansas. I've had lots of fish bite at the tail but only ever hooked one fish. It was probably 6-7 pounds but came off at the boat. If you're just fishing for big fish they're a good option, otherwise a 12" worm is probably a better option.

Have't thrown them but that is a size alot of people would throw on Kentucky lake and Gunterville on Carolina Rigs. California and South Texas guys wouldn't be scared to throw them either. I have tried Berkley's 12in worms with success on Kentucky lake.
