Leesville Lake Virginia

Featured Replies

Anybody fishing it? I have been a few times this year and it is less than stellar. Today... just a struggle to put 5 in the boat. So much trash/logs/sticks in the water I was afraid to bring the boat up to speed. All I heard was thumps on the hull. Not to mention all the dead grass...cast.... reel in.... clean off... repeat.

Guess I am the only one thick enough to waste my time on Leesville.

I'm thinking about trying it. I've never been on leesville. How's the fishing on it?

I guess that's what I am hoping someone will answer. I have never done much there and when I have gone... messy water.

I live about 30-45 min. from leesville lake and have thought about trying it but I always go to smith mountain. I have heard that on leesville, the place to go is old woman's creek and in the summertime I have heard a spinner bait works. I hope to try it out this summer.

go to leesville for striper, yeah i know theres a ton of striper in SML as well...
