I learned how to fish a year ago and am kinda' wondering if I should compete in a tournament just yet. What does it take to win?

    A vast understanding of structure, a vast understanding of the food source, and vast understanding of how each react to each other during various weather conditions.

    On the water. You can read up on everything, there are tons of great articles on this site, but nothing compares to experience. If you'd really like to try a tournament, fish as a coangler or in a buddy tournament. Great learning experiences.
