Strike King Xd Cranks?

Featured Replies

I just bought one XD5 I think and have anyone had any problems with the way they run? Can they be tuned? Also do these float or sink cause mine is sinking on cast.

What are your reviews of these baits?

I popped on Strike King's forums to see if I could find any info on there. From the one post I read, it sounds like they're supposed to float, if they don't then there's a bad seal. I'd contact Strike King and let them know the issue you're having. They should be able to be tuned but with your sinking issue, I'd definitely contact them and see what they say. Hope this helps some!

They should float, I bet yours has a pinhole leak that is allowing the bait to fill with water, I had one do that. They can be tuned, they are actually my favorite crankbait (the 5 and 5XD).

Sink it overnight in a cup of water, take it out and wipe it dry, then hang it over a newspaper to see if it leaks and where it is coming from. If it is leaking water, email/call Strike King and see what they can do.

Actually mine is the 3XD and I filled the sink up with water and mine just sits on the bottom. I just bought the lure so I'm going to look for receipt and if cannot find maybe the cashier will remember and vouch for me. Just sucks.

Call Strike King they will take care of you, Im pretty sure the guys name is Chris Brown that you want to get a hold of.

Dont know if Chris Brown is still at Strike King...Read somewhere he has ventured on to bigger and better things. I may be wrong...If he is still there, rest assured he WILL take care of you. I has the finish peel off on a series 4 Crank and I also had some Redeye Shad Baits swell up on me from the sun. Chris sent me several of each,a catalog and a hat,no questions asked...totally unexpected,a class act.
