I would suggest black, purple, brown, or white wooly buggers for subsurface. Any type popping bug should work for surface action.

Zonker strips work well also.
Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach that man to fish, and you have fed him for life.

One of the guys on our local fishing boards is an avid all species fly guy. His go to set up for all species when fishing lakes and ponds is a clouser minnow on sinking line. He ties them by the hundreds in all sizes and colors. He catches tons of fish of all sizes on them too.

"Accardo Bugs" you can get them at Walmart and the panfish will kill them.

The fish are out there just waiting for you to throw the right lure along with the correct presentation so why are you still here?
Motivation is the key to success.....
Remember on a bad day just throw the lure you never tried yet.....

You can't go wrong with clouser minnows or wooley buggers for bass. I tend to just use your standard bead head flies for pan fish and do quite well.
