I just installed a Minn Kota Terrova Kayak on my SDP 120. I am wondering if it has the capabilities to follow contour lines and what not. It does have Spot Lock out of the box...

Well, the new NoCo Genius 10 is a heck of nice charger. I ran the dead Lithium battery through rescue mode at least 12 times. No dice. It keeps going into standby mode after the recue mode. I left it on the charger last night all night. Nada. Still though. After all I have learned now what with how to care for lithium batteries, it's a win in my book. I'll be purchasing another battery here in the next few weeks. Probably going to purchase a Miller Tech. I know I'm overpaying for a name. But the fact that they are made in Ohio and also that they have a 10 year warranty is a major selling point in my book. Again, thank you to all for the education here. 👍

I picked up the NoCo Genius 10 mentioned above

I just took my new voltage meter out of the box and gave myself a brief education into the utilization of it. My camper deep cell battery is reading 13 volts. The Enduro Lithium battery is reading 2.03 volts. ☹️ Crossing my fingers that the smart charger will wake her up. If not, it's all good. I can use the new smart charger on whichever battery I choose to replace the Enduro.

Ed, I'm using the Enduro charger I purchased with the battery. It isn't a smart charger. But, I just pulled the trigger on the smart charger you mentioned. Should be delivered by end of business tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes. 🤞

TB, I'm cracking the lid open on this battery to have a look see. Other than the obvious non connected wires and what not, what else should I be looking for while doing the exploratory surgery? Also, while it's open, is there anything I can do while the lid is off to take it out of Sleep?

I left another battery connected in parallel for over an hour while charging.. Nothing. Thanks to all for the recommendations. Much appreciated!!!

The brand is Enduro

Nothing to date has worked. Battery is still in sleep mode. I have tried to jump start the battery from another battery. It hasn't worked. I believe that the company that manufactured this battery went out of business for a reason. I'll probably wind up purchasing an old school deep cycle lead acid battery after this fiasco. $800.00 battery 19 months ago, and now it's ****. unreal...

After I "jump" the battery, then hook it up to the lithium charger and let it charge. Correct?

I have a new 12v 100AH lithium battery. It has been sitting on a shelf for over 18 months unused. I hooked it up to my Sun Dolphin Pro 120 today and my worries were validated. It's in "Sleep" mode. I contacted the shop I purchased the battery from and their answer was to purchase a "Smart" Lithium battery charger, from them of course, and over charge the battery to wake it up. When I asked them if they would do that for me they declined. They stated that this doesn't always work. So. Anyone here know how to get a lithium battery out of sleep mode? I really don't want to have to purchase another battery. Especially when this one has never been used.

I have had my Terrova Kayak motor in the box now for about 12 months. I purchased it with the intention of installing it on my PA14. But I purchased a Sun Dolphin Pro 120. Right now she's in the backyard under shrink wrap. I am very anxious to unbox the Terrova and install it on my Pro 120.

All that's left is to go fishing. 🤩

Pats fan here from NH. Great weekend of football. I still can not get over the beat down that Seattle put on the 49'ers. 😮 Every team looked like a playoff team this weekend. Even the 49'ers defense. They didn't lay down. Constantly changing their defensive look. They just couldn't overcome the offensive onslaught from the Seahawks. I'm of the opinion that no one beats Seattle this year. Sucks to type it. After what I saw on Saturday though, it's just reality. Even having said that, Go Pats!!!

What brand kayak do you have that needs to be sealed with silicone?

Your boat, your setup. If it's what keeps you wanting to get out on the water, then run it. I think it looks great.

Another one here that rarely sharpens his hooks. With a Senko or a texas rigged worm, I just replace the hook if it doesn't pass my fingernail test. Rust though, that's a hard no for me. If I see any rust on any bait, it's an automatic throw away.

Every year my wife and I take the camper away together for a week. She chooses the destination. I have been telling her now for over 5 months that she needs to book where ever she wants us to go. My vacations are booked already (4 nights lakeside first week of June in Pittsburg NH fly fishing and my NASCAR weekend at loudon NH). She has yet to book our trip. Works for me, I just know though that I'm going to have to hear her complain that when she goes to book in May, that all the spots she wanted to go are booked. ALl I'll say at that point is "told you so". 😇

I have had my Hobie PA 14 now for over 6 years. I have had boats in the past and after selling my last in 2015 (A 1999 Sylvan Explorer 16) I was shocked at the time at the price of boats. So I purchased a kayak to keep me on the water. Now the kayak hurts. The seating position hurts my lower back and reeks havoc on my knees. About 6 weeks ago I took delivery of a new Sun Dolphin Pro 120. I'll be installing my Minn Kota Terova Kayak 55lb trolling motor on her next spring. I'm also in the market for a used 9.9 HP outboard. I feel that the little plastic boat will be much better for me as the seating position while fishing is going to be upright. I'm anxious to get out on the water with my new boat.

That does suck. Purchased my first boat from them back in the 90's. Great family dealership. Always drooling when I drive by though...🤑

So that's a hard no to hooking it up to a Battery Tender. I'm thankful I asked. I do have a lithium charger. I'll hook my lithium battery up to that prior to me installing it in my boat6 after I install the trolling motor onto my Sum Dolphin Pro 120. Thank you for the education folks...👍

Just placed an order for a Multi Meter. Thanks to all for the replies. I have also heard that the battery may be "Sleeping". To wake it up, I should hook it up to a NON LITHIUM Battery charger for 10 seconds or so. Can anyone else here verify this?
