What is the best power rating and action rating for a 6' 6" spinning rod to use with spinner baits in the 1/8-1/2 oz. size ?
What is the best power rating and action rating for a 6'6" spinning rod to use with cranks in the 1/4-3/4 oz. size ?
Most of my fishing is done in less than 10 ft. of water.

I doubt you'll find a rod rated for 1/8 all the way to 3/4 oz. and since most rods don't really perform great through the whole range, you're probably looking at 2 different rods. Depending on brand, you might need a Med and a MH or a Med and a Hvy to cover your specified range. In a spinnng rod I would not get a mod action for crankbaits... spinning rods are softer through the mid section anyway and pretty treble hook friendly.

Just remember one thing when purchasing spinning rods, their power and action gradings are less than baitcaster rods with the same power and action.

i use a 6' MH spinning otfit for 1/4 oz and under crankbaits anything bigger i go with a baitcaster basicly same thing with spinner baits
