since hours are being cut at work , i have some time to do some fishing. while the wife is at work , i decided to take out our daughter to the local park/lake. she loves being outside...

she was screaming and laughing at the ducks and loved watching me cast and pitch while walking out in the water.

we were out for an hour or so today. hooked into a decent pea but lost her after a few huge jumps. so after a little while with no bites , i tied on my spook jr, this thing has so many battle scars and paint chips its ridiculous but the action on this one is spot on. first cast got me this little lady..

solid fighter. i forgot how much i enjoy catching these with light tackle.

all in all it was not a bad outing considering it was super windy (gusts around 20mph and overcast) and i was fishing with my light spinning outfit. and even though paychecks will be a little short the coming months , i look forward to spending more time with Leah at the lake.

I'd love to catch some of those things! Even if they aren't monsters they're cool looking fish and I've heard a blast to catch!
Shawnee, KS. Don't get to fish tournaments much because of work. I fish everywhere within about a 2 hour drive. I have a couple boats but nothing fancy. I spend a lot of time on smaller lakes but fish La Cygne, Melvern, and Perry quite a bit too.

Thanks guys. Im hoping one day she will enjoy fishing as much as I do when she gets older.

I remember when I was living in NC , catching these were one of the few things I missed about Miami. Once you stick one , you instantly know it's a P.

Years from now,  you will fondly recall the free time you had with your daughter and goin' fishing.
Take it as a blessing, because you work wayyy more than go bass fishing.

Nice peacock bass.
All ya have to be, is a little smarter than the bass.
