  2. I want to start catching fish on the slammer first. i loved watching that dude Lowbudget hookers on here about 4-5 years ago lay waste with slammers. The videos were awesome.
  3. Ya i saw the base had a lake i believe is 200 acres. I was really wanting it after seeing that and some of the bass that come outta there.
  4. Not gonna lie bro I'm always jealous when you post up pics. I see your in Valdosta. I put in for moody AFB from over here in Guam. Was really hoping for it but got denied and headed to Arizona. Kinda bummed out. But I'm going to try again after i get to AZ. That area looks awesome for bass fishing. Nothing but water in and around the base.
  5. I know what your talking about with big baits and northerners thinking they can't catch bass on them. Im originally from Michigan. My buddy in my profile pic is one of those guys and another one of our friends. Thinks you can only catch big fish on conventional lures like jigs, topwater, crank baits, spinnerbaits, flipping and pitching. Everytime i bust out a swim bait they start laughing. Its always when I'm home on leave so I'm not able to fish it how i want because were going way to fast on the trolling motor and throwing spinnerbaits or some kind of power fishing. Never able to really slow down and fish an area. But ill show them come next summer and I'm home with my own boat lol.
  6. Jerkbaits, jigs and spinnerbaits.
  7. Nice Smallies. Cant wait to get back to michigan on leave and slam some smallies. Love michigan you got lakes with 4-6lb largemouth and then go to a lake next door with giant smallies. Or lakes with both. We got a couple down by Gladwin that have giant smallies and largies. Love it.
  8. Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, New mexico, Texas, Alabama. Soon to be Arizona.
  9. So are you 14,27 or 18? Misinformation like this is what causes us not to believe your story.
  10. Sounds like a good day any pictures?
  11. pop r's are my favorite shallow river bait.
  12. 2 years old my dad was carrying me on his shoulders down streams in alaska. He would drop the nightcrawler in hook a trout hand me the rod and make me reel it in. Caught my first silver salmon at 3 years old. Cant wait to have our first kid here in August. So i can do the same things my dad did for me. Teach me to love the outdoors.
  13. Thanks hootie and i hope i do to lol.
  14. To get back to the states so i can start catching BASS again lol. 4 years overseas is to long. I loved this assignment but 2-3 years woulda been good. Idk how people stay overseas most their career lol.
  15. Lake fork. Call up Rick Loomis awesome guide. We ended up with over 75 fish 3 8lbers 2 7lbers a 6lber and plenty of 3-5s. We went in March or april.
  16. Is anyone able to watch this online? Im on the site and don't see anything but i could be missing it.
  17. Buddy kept saying " put those jigs and trailers away only thing that works on this lake are strike king jigs and chigger craw trailers" Well i proved him wrong lol. And plenty more besides these ones that day.
  18. My buddy caught a 40lber inshore here in Guam with a popper.
  19. When i was stationed in New mexico we had two tournaments in colorado. One was mcphee and the other was morgan lake i believe. I can't remember which one was the power plant lake but that one had some TOADS in it. We would be fishing in 5* weather with snow and the water was a steady 75-80 degrees. Also navajo is just below the state line in new mexico and that one has some real nice smallies in it and had some 5-6lb largemouth caught out of it in the few tournaments we had there.
  20. Thanks everyone hopefully head out today and whack another. Don't mind filling the freezer with pork at all lol.
  21. Thank you sir. And we cleaned it and i will be smoking all parts of this pig.
  22. Shot my first Guam pig the other day. There is open season on these and just started hunting for them after being stationed here for 3 years and now I'm hooked. This one was in the 60-70lb range. Shot from about 5ft away lol she just walked right up the trail and couldn't see her till she was right there because the ferns are so tall. Shot with Carbon Express CX2 crossbow.
  23. Thanks guys we ended up with 25. Should have had at least 40 but lost a couple at the boat and missed some hook sets somehow lol.
  24. Here are some smallies we caught at lake St Clair the other day. Had an awesome time. Thanks to Marcel Veenstra for taking us out on an awesome trip. All caught on tubs in 7 ft of water over a sand/grass flat.
