Chris you still fishing @ JW Smith? I've been down there a few times this year and havent caught anything. Everytime i go all i see are carp swimming around, so maybe i need to start fishing for them instead. Of course it would help tremendously if i had a boat, but i dont lol. im heading up near lake burton for some camping this weekend. I'll probably head over there for a little fishing, anyone have any pointers for bank fishing on burton? i've never been there so any info would be helpful.

thanks for the report! i live really close to JW smith, i've been ready to get out there. i will have to go this weekend and see what i can do. any particular jig color/setup? i dont have a boat so i'll be on the banks in the park area.

a couple of weeks ago a guy at the lake i was fishing at caught this one. it was 12 lbs. he caught 3 in about 2 hours. they were all about this size. he was using grits/kool-aid bait. in the same lake a different guy caught this catfish, it was huge! (yes the guy looks crazy lol) what did i catch? a bunch of little *** catfish lol.. oh well

good advice. i'm going night fishing friday night. so i'm going to try some of these lures.
