  1. I am just now starting to really get into fishing this year and still have a lot to learn and need some experienced advice!!! I have been fishing a pond with deep clear water, and little vegetation on one side, and i need to know what to throw and when to throw it.....
  2. I would slow down quite a bit, then just alternate different retrieves to see what worked best. Other than that you may want to downsize your lures...
  3. I usually don't change much to avoid getting skunked. I just change up colors or size a little bit (usually downsize) or i switch to live bait, which always seems to catch something.... Most of the time in these situations though i go for panfish, and just hope a bass sneaks in...
  4. So I have been purchasing some of the creme pre rigged lures and other things just to see how they go about asembling their lures and what they use, and I have a question on how to tie onto their soft plastic lures that have a leader, or beads and spinners, and then extend line out and form a loop with the line that is tied on with a very secure knot. So should I tie my regular knot on to it and just be careful when cutting it off to not cut the loop, or should I go with a swivel? Or perhaps there is something else I need to know...? Please help me out with this!!!
  5. I am needing to figure out a lure and lure color to use in my 2 acre farm pond. I have caught descent fish out of it on rare occasions, so I know that they are in there. I have caught 2 five pound bass out of it, but there is no consistency... The pond conditions are: Very muddy water, very shallow (deepest part is about 7 ft., but most is more like 3.5 ft or less), boulders in deep part, no trees, no vegetation growing. So, please help me I am in desperate need of any advice or tips that anyone has to offer!!!
  6. How shallow can the water be to successfully use a c-rig? And does clarity of water matter?
  7. I have found this pond called Quarry Pond that used to be an old rock quarry many years ago. The water is very, very clear and you can see large mouth bass that would go atleast 5 lbs. on a daily basis, along with several others that i would be very pleased to catch. Another thing about the pond is that it is not that, like I said before it used to be a rock quarry, therefore it is extremely deep. It literally goes straight down with walls of layered rocks completely surrounding it. Also, I am not sure if anyone is alowed to put a boat out on it, because there are no boat ramps and there is nothing about boating anywhere around it. Therefore, one must fish it from the bank. It is a public pond that is right next to a small college, but there is hardly ever anyone fishing it because of its level of difficulty!!! So please anyone with any suggestions about how to fish this pond, what lures to use, what colors to use, or any helpful comments please let me know.
