PG60MT some one has these on ebay all the time both spinning and casting says extreme, little leary though.

i love my bc reels now that i have trained thumb. up until the point you get your thumb trained to stop alot of "professional overruns" aka bird nests it will definitely be a love/hate relationship. i agree with several of the other members up to 10lbs spinning over 10 definitely bc.

I would look at where you are going to fish. Sometimes the extra 6" makes a nice tree slapper. All depends on location.

Well being in the same boatless configuration as yourself, over the years I have came to the following conclusions. If your not catching fish, move to a different spot. 9.9 out of ten times it is not your equipment. Try to find a near by feeder stream that feeds the lake, no you most likely wont get trophy size largemouth, but walleye, smallmouth, and trout are normally in abundance. You might also check in your local area to see if there are any fishing clubs(sources of great information and most of the time friendly boaters). Just some humble thoughts.

if you like what you were using seems like a no brainer, go medium. why spend more if you were happy?

I use lighting rods on all of my reels, except 1 ugly stik crankin rod. Catch fish every time I go out. Yes BPS carries them, their graphite series are nice too. I would wait until the rods go on sale, you can usually get them 2 for 1. Have a nice day John

What is the best way to make a 2 piece rod a 1 piece. I am assuming some sort of adhesive. I have a 2pc i really like, but it comes apart at the worst times >. I could buy a one piece if need be but I am sure there is an easy fix for it. Thanks. John aka boatless wonder
