Nah !! Its all relative. Its fishing. Fish are in certain areas for certain reasons.. In fact the ocean would be a lot harder to locate fish being so vast.BUT usually they can be patterned by the routes they take for spawning/migration/feeding -the food comfort shelter theory(wrecks/reefs) Its all good.Just on a larger scale. Let me tell ya -them tuna are all muscle and almost yanked me over the side twice. If i went in i could probably hold on to the rod and water ski barefoot LOL.

One thing that I had to laugh at yesterday was I brought my 8 ft rod with a 1 1/2 oz spro jig on it to cast at any lobster ballons or bouy markers that might hold a Mahi Mahi. He pulled up along side of it maybe 60-ft I skipped this jig right under this buoy and the capt said. How the hell did you do that. I said WATCH AND LEARN. I pulled a trigger fish on the first cast and a few more -PINPOINTIING EVERY CAST. I said "let me see you saltwater $%$#%'s do that. LOL

And I rightfully deserved it. I went out tuna fishing yesterday. I was using some lighter tuna tackle. I was reeling these fish in for 25 minutes each in 93 degree heat. My arms were straining and burning from the lactic acid. I caught about 7 of them. The first 2 were ok to get in. It was fun-what fighters. It was rockn and rolling out there.By the time the 6th one came around i could barely lift my arms. Then I was looking at the rods trolling drinking my gatorAde saying please not my rod please not my rod. All of the sudden BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ- Oh my God not again. This one actually spooled me at 500 yards of braid. I couldnt even stop him or turn him-I have never seen anything like it. What a day- I could barley move and my two friends said look at this wuss/****** wimp bass fisherman. They were right

I already thought of that commercial 6 years ago- We are fishing in a boat we open the tube and the fish start juming in the boat. I say "thats it Im taking up golf"

I watched a National Geographic Show last night about the Illinois River Flying carp. First show was on at 9 or so and the host of the show goes to China Town in IL to show them selling these carp. They had them in a live tank and I had to do a double take. I could have sworn I had seen a largemouth bass in the tank with the carp.It was 42 minutes into the show-Before commercial break they showed it and then again when they came back.. I actually waited up for the second run at 1am. At 1:42 that part came back on and Im telling you I wasnt drinking and could swear that was a large mouth bass in the tank. Anyone have TVO to see if I need a new pair of eyes??? Thank You.

Each fishing lure made has a specific trait /characteristic or application. The secret is to learn how to utilize each to provoke or entice a strike.Just like shad said the jig is not designed to be a swimming lure but a drop /vertical presentation- BUT someone along the way changed the presentation and it caught fish-hey it works-try different presentations and think outside the box.That's why I have for years gone fishing with just one lure and tried to master many different presentations/techniques under many different conditions.Let the fish tell you how they want it.The buzz bait can be manipulated so many way to entice strikes.

I have fished tournaments and never put it down-sunny-not sunny-weeds wood-open water.When they want it -they want it. Usually the fish i catch are tournament worthy-15 lbs with 5 fish usually seals the deal.Can usually get lunker on it also- think about it 8hour tournament you are looking for 5 quality bites and fish- The odds are in your favor.

One day I am going to write my theories on buzzbait strikes-. There is so much involved and "THE STRIKE" will tell you what kind of mood the fish was in. I have to admit I throw a buzzbait more than any other fisherman I have ever been with fishing. Sometimes they look at me and say "what the heck are you doing" and I say "JUST WATCH AND LEARN"-Didnt matter what time of day it was .When they want it -they want it.
