  1. Steve-I just wanted to jump in here for a minute- The reason I made this bait a little different was I wanted a lot of water displacement and action. The guys that I have shown and given this bait to like the way all six of the appendages move. The ribs also displace water which is good for dirty or muddy water applications. Here is what i was doing with it the other day.-Weightless on a 7 ft bait caster 4/o gammy offset worm hook. Throwing it over the grass and just steady reeling with the rod tip at 10 o'clock-It was just churning along the top and Bam they would hit it. I also-added some weight with the 1/8 oz shak-e and let it fall into the holes in the grass. It would just get heavy and I would set the hook. I have also used it a ton just flippn and pitchin. Its a good bait. There are times that a bass wants a subtle action and there are times they want an erratic action like the Rage products. I also find they want an in between action. Remember just about any bait will catch fish at one time or another.Oh and yes-i do like the RAGE products .
  2. I made sure to put the USA Flag on top

  7. snap- like I said its just time on the water. Repetition is the formula for skill. PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE
  8. Its actually a forecast of the future-Print ads and magazines will soon be obsolete. Its videos now .Weather its TV or you tube. You have witnessed this for yourselves.Think about it -last month they had Van Dam winning the Classic- That is months old news- They(the public) want to know what happens right now.Its a 2 month set back for Bassmaster Mag and one month for BassTimes. Like i said -Its yesterdays news.
  9. I have seen bass goi up to frogs and other baits and while the baits were staying perfectly still-they would nose up to them and just slurp them down. It truely wish that I could go fishing with a bunch of you guys just to have you experience some of the things I have witnessed and done on and below the water.absolutely mind blowing. Time on the water and experimenting is everything-Its the only way you really learn.
  10. I tasted that stuff bach in the 90's-got a bit in my mouth whe wetting a knot-it wasnt good
  11. Watch and learn Bass Fin at tic-- It is becomming my lure of choice- If that was a knock -You have no idea-what you are talking about-
  12. When you throw and head into that type of rip rap-there is a point where the two rocks meet-its a "Y".When the line wedges between where the two rocks meet is of course where it gets stuck. A round head is more blunt than a head that can manipulate itself over contours.I have worked with these heads you are talking about underwater in lakes as well as in tank situations. I have found that the Shak-E2 head rides better over cover and rocks. Most of the hang ups on the other type heads were due to the head and bait falling over on its side. When the hook is sideways it has more area or bulk to get wedged or hung. When the hook is straight up-wherever that head goes the hook follows right behind it. Of course there will be times they get wedged because of the line in the "Y" but usually a little shake will get them out -unless you pull it to tight.
  13. By adding the fulcrum"skid plate" allows the bait and the head to stand upright. It allows the head to ride over snags and cover by following the contours of the objects better. When fishing rocks we all know that baits get wedged or pinched between the slight gaps between the rocks. HOW WE LOOSE THE HEADS is pulling them directly towards you. A snag must come out and be pulled the same direction it went in. NOW what I have found is by shaking the rod tip before wedgeing it in to much will usually dislodge the bait. Always retie after getting the bait out.
  14. My girlfriend said to me the other day" Is that a tube of MegaStrike in your pocket or are you just happy to see me". I said "BOTH"
  15. I was waiting for that Burley old boy. Tell me what the reasoning is behind your hanging up theories. Lets get started shall we!!!
  16. Here is a pic - Just got them in
  17. Dont pre soak them -to me that is a waste -Just add a dab as needed. Feel the bait -if its not slick or slimy reapply
  18. Wait til I start packaging the WING DINGS "THE NEW FROG ALTERNATIVE" These things are sick over weeds-Goo-em up
  19. Was using it on some Spro Frogs the other day-When the bass hit the baits I would let them take it for about 3 seconds then set the hook. Got some solid hooksets and none of the ten or more bass released it before setting the hook. One actually had it almost down its throat and had to get snips and cut the hook and push them through. The bass was released unharmed-more than I can say for my frog-8 bucks- tick me off-
  20. Got it-call me 732-780-7383 at the office-We will hook ya up!!!

J- Thats why we make the spike style also for the Shak-E2-They both have their own applications-
  22. UH !!!!Listening to the anglers on Bass Resource-would be my first guess LOL- Ok then- They dont spend enough time on the water- They think that they are just going to bang fish every time they go fishing-thats not going to happen-second -staying with the same bait over and over for long periods of time -meaning they think that the fish are just not biting or they are in the wrong location-Keep changing baits and techniques- If you keep using the same bait and technique you will have the same results-now that could be good or bad- If you are catching them ,thats a good thing if not change it up. Let the fish tell you how and what they want- Learn different techniques-REMEMBER REPITITION IS THE FORMULA FOR SKILL
