If you want the simplest remedy-if you are not tournament fishing -just pinch the barb down. Fish don't get hurt-hooks come right out-no harm no foul. Tournament fishing keep the barb -SIMPLE RIGHT Im a smart SOB

I couldn't disagree more- When im fishing for money the buzz bait is my deal -I cover a lot of water quickly and the bass are usually quality size. I DO NOT MISS A LOT OF FISH ON BUZZ BAITS -The one thing a successful angler must do is adapt to the conditions of that particular day-lake-water temp-and any and all of the surrounding conditions. For the guys that say they never catch them on buzz baits-I would love to take you and show you-Ive said it on here 100 times -There are days I don't put it down.

Probably one of the best buzz baiting years I've ever had. Again I said it many times there are days I go out with the cavitron and throw it non stop for hours. The fall is really the time it produces the biggest fish of the year. Every year I catch some 6 plus pounders on mega bugs and jigs but as the water cools into the 60 "s the big girls are out and I get numbers and sizes. Throw it you will see

Ive had it happen numerous times-The gluttonous bass were trying to take the bait from the other bass and grabbed the next best thing-the other bait
