Whats Everyone's Preferred Spinnerbait Brands?

Featured Replies

The lines are getting blurred for me.  Not noticing too much difference in the water from one maker to the next.

But I am liking Booyah, Stanley, and War Eagle brand.

Maybe I'll just start making my own.

I like those booyahh vibraflex spinner baits... I haven't tried a whole lot of brand though.

I like Booyah, but I'm looking to try some Pepper Customs and some Revenge Spinners.

Siebert Compact Spinnerbaits.

I have two Revenge double willows in the Bluegill and Golden Shiner colors.  Great looking baits, run nicely in the water, and seem to be made of respectable quality.  Just havent caught anything with them yet.

Nothin but War Eagles for me...and believe me, I have tried them all!

The Sniper, It's a fantastic bait for all types of situations.

Dang it! This reminds me that I meant to order a Siebert spinner with my most recent order. Oh well.

I don't fish spinners very often. Of the ones I have tried I have had the most success with Stanley and Strike King. I haven't yet tried War Eagle or any custom jobs yet. Maybe I'll try to pick some up soon for my fall fishing.

i'm half war eagles and half terminator titaniums...

i have about the same luck with both.  i just really like those skirts on the terminator's, they pretty much transfer over to any jighead application

Can you tell much difference between the different brands?

Can you tell much difference between the different brands?

just quality of the material they use examples  wire , hooks, skirts, bands around the skirts, swivels..the wal mart brand really crapy everything imo.  but the others like river 2sea, strike king, booyah, war eagle, revenge all have good products.  sebile finesse pro is a nice spinner.  i don't find any difference in those brands i listed they all catch fish .

River2sea, phenix and some custom brands

Can you tell much difference between the different brands?

Well  I guess it all depends how you are going to use the spinnerbait. If you just cast it out and retrieve it straight back then there is probably less difference between spinnerbaits than if you bounce it off cover, drop it, slow roll it, etc.

What I look for in a spinnerbait are the following:

1). a good (preferably US made) ball bearing swivel

2). a long shank hook

3). a somewhat flexible wire frame

4). a twisted loop (more durable than an R bend). If it has an R bend then I reenforce the bend with fly tying thread

5). a wire tied skirt (if it doesn't have that then do it yourself with wire)

Brands I have used with success include Mann's Classic (Hank Parker) spinnerbait (some QC issues), Strike King (some ball bearings are sticky) and Booyah. I use the Booyah most often because they work and are consistant from bait to bait. The Top Secret spinnerbaits they make for Dick's are a great value. They lend themselves well to customization.

If you make your own, then you can tailor make them to how you fish them. You eliminate compromises by making your own. Besides its fun!

War Eagle.. in particular the screamin' eagle.

SOB - Spotsticker

Siebert's 1/2oz Cosmic Double Willow (bluegill)

owner hook, powder coated head, quality silicone and swivel / blades

Not a big collection, but this is my half war eagle/half terminator stash....  extra terminator quick change skirts are in the little plastic baggy.
