I just want to make it perfectly clear that this is not about religion or about anything negative about Livingston Lures /Rapala or any other bait company. What it was about was how Randy make a life changing decision based on a feeling that he had gotten weather religious or not. . I know those guys at Livingston and are all great people. So please do misinterpret that part. As for the location and baits yes as I said it all becomes part of the puzzle that materialized. He used whatever he did by years of experiance of time on the water. As for location -It is the most important part of the puzzle but then all of the little parts /components must be applied as well. If randy caught his fish using a rapala then had the experiance to say -Hey lets try this Livingston lure bait that does or acts differently- Thats what makes him a professional- the experiance to make a change and it worked for him.. hey ya never know -it could have not worked at all-but i am glad that it all worked out for him. Ok lets end this Everyone has their opinions and rights of religion and we are noing to go there.-congrats to Randy -rapals -livingston and everything else-

There is always going to be controversy over what wins a classic or any tournament or basically anything that has a positive or negative in life about it. Im going to go with what he said- He was driving down the lake and something came over him and said to change his direction and go fish that particular area . He said "God" or something told him to change -He felt a calmness and just went fishing. I don't believe it was a particular lure but more of location that was really what was key. Location locaton location. The fish were there for a reason. stageing- He could have used a variety of different lures to catch those fish but was using that one that was working. RIGHT PLACE RIGHT TIME It was his turn to win and that's it- I have fished tournaments for years and like I said when its your turn -its your turn-just something magical happens and it all comes together. I have made casts when I got a bait stuck in a tree and when it came lose-hit the water and a 4 lbr hits hit -go figure. Bottom line is-Randy is just a great stand up person -he is a believer of God and everything comes from that- Evidently God was his marshal that day. Randy has paid his dues for the last 21 years and no one never had a bad thing to say about him. So about the lure-hmm you make the call about what caught the fish-Rapala -Livingston- Hmm Im going with Devine Intervention-- That's my new color of choice- And no one steal that either or I'll kick you B'ass Ok Im done-

So I was in Birmingham I find this lamp- rub it - a genie pops out Three wishes - I Said ok Im in --The first wish was- Please don't let me run into Dozer--That one came true -- Next was I would like to win the classic- --He said if I win you will have a consequence- I said whats that -he said you will find -I found out-- Two seconds later POOF !!--I shrunk-- I said OMG I cant be like this forever--so my third wish was for Randy to win--Poof!! We were down at the BassMasters Classic demonstrating it in the Bass Tub at the Dicks Sporting Goods booth-absolutely blew the crowd away =sold out in minutes.

I was reading the comments on the topic of spinner baits here today and the differences between different brands either the high end side or the .75 cent ones. Yes I believe all spinner baits will catch fish under certain conditions. BUT THEY ARE NOT ALL THE SAME. There are many different styles built based on different fishing and water conditions. Different weights-head styles-wire lengths -hooks- swivels- skirts- every component varies from brand to brand Let me tell ya what I think- The basic spinner bait hasn't changed in almost 45 years. The only real innovation to come along with the spinner bait is when T came out with the titanium wire- That also has its pros and cons. For those of us that has used them -yes great for retaining memory -descent vibration but after a while it breaks- Oh well it happens. Brand S -One of the original companies--average everything but probably came out with the best blade since the ***- til now Hmm The other three bazillion head designs are basically the same -they are made from generic molds -usually over seas with average hooks -$hitty wires - some have good swivels -some descent paint jobs- generic blades usually of poor quality-and yes all will catch fish at one time or another. There are some companies here in the US that are making some nice stuff- BUT Innovative -not really -just a different paint job-beautiful skirt that really dosent mean anything. Just eye candy for the fisherman. I know how the color spectrum works under water so cant sell me on that one. There was a comment on another thread about a major company that hasn't come out with anything innovative in years. WHY because they don't know how to think for themselves- Everywhere I go its just a copy cat industry with a guy behind a desk that hasn't even been on or under the water to see what needs to be changed or invented. Most are gimmicky stuff that dosent last long or work anyway. some buy out other innovative thinkers and products to use because they have good distribution avenues. PLEASE somebody tell me what is new with spinner baits today. When you are ready to see different - let me know LOL

Fish anywhere else than where speedbead is fishing- Throw any other bait than what speedbead is using In other words do the opposite of what this guy does and you will catch more and bigger fish than you have ever caught. .Merry Christmas

Its called " Hydrodynamic Torque" The blades are turning in a certain direction based on the design of the angle of that blade. causing the arm and body of the spinner bait to bend to that direction. The blades are cupping or capturing more water than the body is able to counter balance. Solutions Slow it down- Use a heavier spinner bait Change the blades OR Take up golf
