    I have been fishing out of a kayak for two years now. I have a Wilderness System Tarpon 140. I have a Lowrance X68 fishfinder mounted right in it. Use a thru the hull transduce and the small 7amp 12 volt battery the Cabelas sells. Works great. Check out some of the kayak fishing sites on-line and you can get some great ideas about setting up a kayak for fishing. Check www. Kayakfishingstuff.com best site that I've found.
