  1. Just dug through my dads Bassmaster magazine collection and he was using a 7' MEDIUM action Kistler Magnesium... :-?
  2. I know it says Alton Jones used it to win the Classic but he was fishing deeper than 30 feet but I really doubt he was using a 6'10" rod.
  3. I couldnt find an exact date to see if it was possible, but I thought I had heard that the 15 pound Mass record was taken through the ice...
  4. I've never been to West Buttscrew so I don't know...
  5. Remember, you will be 11 miles from my house this summer. We'll go "fishing" and I will let you find your way home from the Chad Brown Projects.... They don't like American-Eagled out white boys around there. And no your acquired ATL lingo and knowledge of NWA lyrics will not save you. ;D
  6. Should move good with that nice Merc on the back.... 8-)
  7. DARN! I was going to say $20 if we can have video of you swallowing it...
  8. After organizing all my plastics and putting them in the boat I have 4 15" long by 7" wide plastic containers. One is nothing but Berkley Chigger Craws, one is all Berkley 4" Grubs, another is all Berkley Shakey Worms in 5" and the new slim ones, the last is just all Netbait and Reaction Innovation stuff... The worst part is all the Berkley baits are either, black blue, black red, green pumpkin, pb and j, or watermelon...Help me
  9. I could put my 17' Tracker Pro team on the roof of a large Cargo Van... would that count???
  10. If you started using War Eagles you wouldn't need a trailer hook...
  11. 52* and rain, so it should be warmer than the water temp in NY this time of year...so it will be a "warm rain". I would definatley go. Fish any runoffs with a spinnerbait or fluke.
  12. I use my 7'3 MH Carrot for Football jigs and it works fine. I usually use 7/16th Jewels and dont fish them deeper than 15' though so you might want the 7'6" H. That extra 3" and less give an be crucial in setting hooks in the deeper water. The 7'3" MH has more than enough backbone for them though.IMO a Carrot and Kistler are very close in sensitivity but I know the Carrots are a bit lighter (Burley weighed them all in comparison last winter). Flip a coin or get the cheaper one...
  13. In trying to describe BR to the girl and how I needed to buy Girlscout cookies for people on BR yesterday (I'm no longer allowing myself to eat anymore of them and she is in charge of seeing that I don't) I said how we all bs and share tips and such....Her reply was.." You're always on it so it is addicting, you all talk and bs, and you post pictures. It is Fishing Facebook." I facepalmed and just said "Sure I guess, put this X-Rap back. I wanted the Green Olive, not the one with blue in it."

I have a bunch of Perch/Natural shiners on the way...
  15. Nice boat and those seats are so comfy in nasty stuff...Have fun breaking her in.. 8-)
  16. One of my favorite jigs, but a little pricey. I have no problems "finesse pitching" with them to wood and brush and when rigged with a beaver type bait they will almost spiral down. I also like it around shallow bridges and retaining walls.
  17. Speedbead the Whipping Boy I do know that CT's next state record will come out of Twin Lakes, that place probably has numerous state record fish in it. I have never seen a public lake that throws out more 3-6 pound fish that Twin. It has the perfect grasslines (until sprayed in July), GIANT craws, and a trout population. Along with tons of white perch and crappie.

Give me your address and a money order will be in the mail if you never mention that color again.... I actually found some that are completely clear and wow... Has to be something with the light refraction... :-/ I also found clear baby brush hogs and even those things work wonders in super-clear water.
  19. I will fish the 78DD's when I want a good suspending jerkbait with heavily pressured fish and they are only hitting it on long pauses (10 seconds or more). Besides that it is all about Rogues or X-Raps... And the windier and more turbulent the water, the shorter the pauses...
  20. Then kill her...
  21. I can still get them if you are serious. Where the hell have you been Mr. H?
  22. I did this in college. Had a few shots of Barcardi 151 afterward which I do not recommend doing. Quickest and cheapest drunk I have ever been on. I felt like pure hell that evening. Your my hero Blaine...151 after giving blood
  23. If I find them I will. After they go house to house they will usually sell them at grocery stores on the weekends.
  24. Try a teaspoon of cinnamon....
