  2. Are you fishing your tubes weightless or not. I use a round jig with the grubs but go weightless w/ the tubes. What style of jigs would you recommend for tubes and what weight. I like tubes weightless but to git er down to the appropriate depth. hmmmmmm Thanks,
  3. I heard good things from a pro walleye buddy fishing Bago. While trolling spinner rigs and cranks he got some really nice sized smallies. If he were a Bass angler he would have been happy, unfortunately he is not. Sturgeon Bay has probably better sized fish as well. The southern areas? hmmmm the heat factor plays a big part. Unless I hired a guide or know the waters real well I would stick to what I have experience with unless the conditions are optimal (Fall/winter).

  5. Wacky worm Senkos or Senko-like worms For shallow smallies I like the manns minus 1 in crawdad or zara spooks. When they are deep, I'm still working on that one ;D
  6. This isn't a post to stir up memories of Grant and Lee, However there is some differing tech. on how to fish for smallies during these summer months in Southern reservoirs vs the Northern Glacier lakes. What are the main differences if any, are techniques drastically diifferent? How do you guys approach summer smallies? and from where? Thanks,
  7. I use the standard size . After casting it out I let it drop to the depth I want to target. I then pull her up immediately while cranking the bait. I then pause and let her drop again. I do this until I get close to the boat and then figure 8 her when she's boatside. I like my WI neighbors technique w/ the smaller one that works well but difficult in weeds. Good Luck
