  1. That looks like a nice pond.
  2. Good job, it sounds you and your dad had a good time.
  3. Thanks all for the comments. It was a real fun day of fishing, one of my better outings. I plan on buying the owner of the property a gift certificate for a dinner as a thank you for them since they let me fish their pond. Maybe I will be lucky enough to be invited back.
  4. It looks good, when is the maiden voyage?
  5. I don't know if I will be lucky enough to get access to this pond again. The people that own it don't even let their family (kids and grandchildren) fish it more than a couple of times a year, I don't understand that logic. I guess they don't understand that family is the most important thing in life, I feel bad for them. I put an ace bandage on the wrist last night and took it off this morning. It feels fine now and I will be back out fishing Monday or Tuesday.
  6. I Like the fact that there are plenty of Virginia's State Police out patroling our highways.
  7. So how did you guys make out? Did anyone catch anything?
  8. Here is another one that was caught on the Cavitron buzzbait.
  9. Sam, I just followed Big O's advice on the lobsters, he is the man when it come to plastics in my opinion. I am having really good luck with all of the products he has designed. FYI: Ibought the only pack the new BPS had. Hopefully they will have more in stock this coming week. If not just buy them at ***.com. Here is a picture of another lmb I caught with the lobster.
  10. The space monkeys are awesome, I love the action.
  11. I don't know, I have never used a brushhog. The lobsters are pretty big though.
  12. I used a Gamakatsu 5/0 EWG hook and a bullet weight. What do you mean pegged weight? The bullet weight slides on the line.
  13. I fished the Rage Tail lobster today and caught 5 LMBs with them. These baits are awesome and they are a lot of fun to fish. My biggest was 3lbs 7ozs, he was short and had a fat gut, man did he slam that bait when it dropped in the water.
  14. Bobby, here is a picture of a 4lb 8oz LMB I caught with the buzzbait you sent me. These are awesome baits, thanks for sending me one. Ron
  15. Here is yet another one.
  16. Here is another one.
  17. I went out fishing a private farm pond today and had a great time. I caught 22 lmbs the biggest was 4lbs 8ozs and he was caught on a Cavitron buzzbait (ghost minnow, bleeding bait series). I also caught a 3lb 8oz on a Manns -1 and a 3lb 7oz on a Rage Tail lobster. Unfortunately I lost the biggest bass of the day, he was an easy 8lbs and I had him hooked on a Stanley spinnerbait (blue and translucent white/with blue specs). I was not prepared for the hit because I was talking to my buddy as a result the bass almost ripped the rod out of my hands. I now have a swollen wrist from fighting this bass I did not land.
  18. The Rage Tail toads have been extremely productive for me. I have caught bass in the grass mats and in the pads using them.
  19. Congrats memo43, it sounds like you did well with the Cavitron buzzbaits, they work extremely well at Copawamsic. If you want to have some real fun over there try the Rage Tail shad and toads, they have also been big producers for me when I have fished there.
  20. Thats one nice looking hawg you got there. CONGRATS
  21. Sam, I have been using the 5/0 & 6/0 ewg hooks when using the 10" anacondas. I fish them both weightless and tx rigged with the barb tail side up.
  22. Have you tried using a keel weighted hook? It will make all of the difference in the performance of the toads.
  23. rondef replied to 89MJ's topic in Fishing Tackle
The anacondas are designed to be Texas rigged, Carolina rigged, fished weightless or rigged on a keel weighted swimbait hook TAIL UP.
