  1. I will try and make this Saturday, it all depends on JCrzy4Bass and his wife. The due date for the baby is tomorrow but we are still waiting for her to go into labor. If she has the baby before then I may be able to make it, if she does not then I will not be out there.
  2. My order just shipped today and they arrive Friday.
  3. to the forum
  4. The oly problem is unleaded fuel (gas) is still trading at $2.45 right now. If you add the federal, state and local taxes as well as gas station markups/profit we are still not going to see low gas prices. >
  5. I missed one nice size snakehead last Saturday, he missed the frog.
  6. Kevin, the use of those blades will create vibrations in the water that will allow the bass to find the bait at night.
  7. I just ordered 6 packs of the Anacondas from Tackle Warehouse (1 Bama Bug, 1 Big Tex, 1 Okeechobee Craw, 1 Double Header and 2 Red Bug), they are supposed to arrive Friday. I am psych'ed, just in time for weekend fishing.
  8. Two words, SALT WATER.
  9. I thought it was a good game last night.
  10. Joe, they will work for you just don't try to set the hook to early, let them take the bait and then set the hook. You saw how well they worked on your private lake when I caught that PB.
  11. Glad to hear things went well.
  12. I have had good luck with the Kinami, rat-l-traps, Xcaliber and the rattlin Rapalas.
  13. A trailer hook is put directly on the hook of the buzzbait and a piece of tubing is used to keep the hook from coming off. You slide the hook of the buzzbait through the eye hook of the trailer hook and then put the piece of tubing in place. You can buy the trailor hook kits at wally world.
  14. to the forum guys.
  15. Give the bass a couple of seconds after you see the hit and then set the hook. Most people react to quickly and try to set the hook to soon and as a result the lure gets pulled away from the bass rather than hooking them. Since I followed this advice my hookup ratio has improved tremendously.
  16. I have a Kevin Van Dam Siganture Series that I like a lot, I bought it at Bass Pro Shops. to the forum
  17. Guys, it looks like they have added some inventory to their stock today, they must have got another shipment in.
  18. Are you sure about that?
  19. Sorry to hear Kevin, just go back and catch her, she's waiting for you.
  20. to the forum. Welcome to Northern Virginia fishing. All of the areas in Northern Virginia see a lot of fishing pressure, if you are catching a fish an hour in this area you are doing good. There are days where I have caught only a single bass after fishing multiple hours or worse yet got skunked, it happens. The only way you are going to catch large numbers of bass is to fish ponds and lakes that are bass crowded. If you go to the VDGIF website you can find ponds like that and go fish those to catch numbers. I personally would rather catch one hawg than a bunch of small bass. http://www.dgif.virginia.gov/FISHING/
  21. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Gidget.
  22. Sorry to hear about you loosing them, but it is better to have fought them and loose them then not hook any. I lost one nice one Saturday around 4lbs so I feel for you, he threw my Manns -1 right next to the canoe.
