  1. You don't have an option to choose both of them. The shad and toads great, I have mutiple packs of each in my tacklebox at all times.

89MJ, I fish the space monkey just a little bit below the surface. I put a small weight in front of it to get it to sink just a bit and I reel it in. The bass can't help but strike these when they see the action of the bait.

I have caught numerous bass on the shad. I use them just like I use the toads, over the grass and around the lilly pads. I use a 5/0 EWG Gamakatsu hook and I have good hook up ratios.
  4. Great review Robert, thanks for writing it. I may have to check these baits out.
  5. The water levels at the launch will be high for a while. You have to remember that the run off into the creek will eventually make it's way down into the bay.

  7. That looks like you and your family had a great time. I love the pictures, thanks for sharing them. Mrs M you are a great mother and you can see that in your kids eyes by how much fun they are having with you.
  8. From all of the fishing I have done there this year I like fishing the outgoing tide (high tide to low tide) the best. If you are back in the creek it does not seem to matter either way. I have also found that the night fishing lately is much better (more bites & more fish) then mornings and afternoon.
  9. I think the chunks give you the opportunity to use them on smaller jigs. They also hold up etremely well, I have already caught 6 bass on a jig with the same chunk and it still looks like I could use it for many more bass. The craws and lobsters can be fished by themselves.

Rage Tail Chunks & Craws work good for me.
  11. That is just down right nasty.
  12. Hey Mike to forum.
  13. Does anyone own a Daiwa Regal XIA spinning reel. If so, how do you like it? I am thinking about buying one this afternoon.
  14. I would say it is time to buy batteries for your scale. That is a nice looking bass.
  15. Sounds like you bought a 2 piece rod. If you broke a 1 piece rod I don't see how you would be able to put it together and use it.
  16. I will be checking the ponds out within the next week or so. I will let you know what I tink of it after I go. It looks pretty sweet on msnmaps.com.
  17. Go with the aluminum hull boat if you are going to pull with a 6 cylinder, you will not have any problems with it fully loaded. If you go with fiberglass you will have to be careful when towing, they are quite a bit heavier. I have a 4Runner with a 6 cylinder and I decided that my best bet was to go with the aluminum hull and I have no regrets. Joe, don't foget to post some pictures when you buy it.
  18. Sam, I may have to try that pond out one day since it is not that far from my house. I have driven past this numerous times and never even thought about checking it out, I guess I should one day.
  19. Hey RW does the scent help that much? I have been thinking about picking some up.
  20. I have tried the pork rind thing with no success. Now that I am having some good luck with the Rage Tail chunks and craws I think I am just going to use those as trailers for right now. If I start having problems I can always go back to trying the pork rinds.
  21. Some plastics at Quantico are not getting as much action where I have been fishing. I have been getting most of my fish on crankbaits, spinnerbaits and jigs lately. Oh yeah I am still getting some top water action once in a while on Cavitrons and Rage Tail shad and toads.
  22. The Red Sox of course. I hate the Yankees and I hate Yankees fans.
  23. hminor to the forum. If you want to fish Quantico one day just let me know. I have a canoe and I can show you a few places to fish.
  24. Thats pretty wild that he came back and threw the lure out at you.
