  1. Thanks Sam. Where do you go once you get off at the Lewistown exit. The BPS is not on route 1 is it?
  2. The gas at the pumps has ethanol in it and if the gas sits for anylength of time it can gum up the fuel lines and carbs. I had a similar problem but I fixes it by putting the stabilizer in my gas when I fill up. The type I bought also cleans the fuel lines and carbs. My boat has been fine since I started using it. Sam good call on the safety cut off switch, I had that happen to me once in the last two years.
  3. The link is on the first post in this thread but here it is again. http://www.***.com/catpage-SKPREORDERS.html
  4. The 10 inch anacondas are sweet.
  5. I am by no means an expert but I like the rage tail chunks. I have caught quite a few lmbs lately using them on my jigs.
  6. Joe, happy birthday your fiance sounds great to me. Enjoy your trip on the Potomac and note where he takes you and the techniques that he teaches you. This knowledge will help you a lot when you fish tournaments on the Potomac.
  7. No thanks needed, I just wanted to let everyone know the products are out. The thank you should go to Big O for designing these awesome baits.
  8. Simon, the bass you are holding looks bigger than 3.5lbs. Those are some nice looking hawgs.
  9. Simon, Congrats on the two 3.5lb lmbs. I had an 8lb lmb hit me on a spinnerbait from those lay downs earlier this summer, I lost him at the canoe, I was ticked. As for the frogs, I think the bass have problems coming through the pads since there are so many and there is not much open water. The hookup ratio in the spring was much better when there were a lot less pads. If you head out to the open water of the bay and head up the left side there are scattered pads, which I wanted to fish, but we got cut short today. Those pads are scattered and the frog hookup ratio there is much better. Next time we go out I will not ask my buddy to come so we can spend the day and I can show you the spots further up into the bay as well as the trophy bass managed pond.
  10. I just got back in. I missed one big snakehead when he missed my toad. I also missed a nice bass about 4lbs when he threw my Manns -1 right next to the canoe. I did catch one bass not picture worthy. Simon sorry I bolted without saying bye, my buddies daughters car broke down on the side of the high way so we had to pack up quickly and leave.
  11. Guys, to the forum. I just started catching fish on jigs a couple of weeks ago. I can tell you that I use Rage Tail chunks and craws as the trailer with my jigs. I can also tel you that you need to watch your line closely for movement so you will know when a fish picks up your bait. When you see that movement set the hook, hooksets are free. As for me, I throw mine out let it sit for a little bit and slowy hop it back to me stopping after each hop to see if it gets picked up. I hope this helps as I am not an expert on fishing jigs.
  12. GREAT NEWS I just found out that Tackle Warehouse now has the Rage Tail next generation products available for sale. They are getting shipments in daily so for all of you that have been waiting to purchase these baits, the time has arrived. I am placing my order this weekend for the new 10 inch anacondas, lobsters, lizards and space monkeys. http://www.***.com/catpage-SKPREORDERS.html
  13. Those look pretty cool. I wonder if they will make their way to the store shelves so I can look at them in person.
  14. Great story and nice hawg as usual Paul.
  15. Tackle Warehouse is back ordered on the Anacondas.
  16. Guys notice the spelling Bobby is using.
  17. Check and see if they have the new Rage Tail Anacondas, Lobsters or Space Monkeys. I would also look for the Cavitron Buzzbaits (Ghost Minnow color).
  18. Simon, Call this number it is for the gamecheck station I mentioned. They have no problems with selling the base fishing permit, the computer has nothing to do with it. They open up at 8:00 AM tomorrow. 703-784-5329
  19. I would report that gas station for price gouging.
  20. Bobby, I caught two on the ghost minnow Cavitron you sent me the other night. Unfortunately they were not picture worthy, only about 1.5lbs each. I will be using this again in tomorrow morning at one of my honey holes. I am hoping to be able to post some pictures of some nice size bass when I get back home. The weather my play a factor.
  21. Simon, I just sent you a PM. I agree, the more the merrier.
  22. I have caught a total of 8 snakeheads this year, my biggest one was 7lbs. They put up an awesome fight and they will attack any soft plastics thrown their way. All you have to do is throw the bait let it make a little noise and then let it fall to the ground. The snakeheads almost always pick up the bait and swallow it. The only issue is they can cut your line easy. If you are going out to fish for them use a metal leader. I am killing the ones I catch because our state law says we have to. They are supposedly really good to eat though. This is beginning to turn into a sport fish down here, lots of folks want to catch them.
  23. Simon, are you still up for this? My buddy and I are going out so long as there are not any thunderstorms in the area. A little rain usually does not stop us. There is only a 30% chance of rain tomorrow. Let me know what you want to do. We will catch fish snakeheads and bass at this spot.
