Lake Tuscaloosa - Update
Great shot. It was an awesome game. My girlfriends family just offered me tickets for LSU so I am pumped. Im not going to get to T-Town until late Friday because I fly back to Atlanta Friday afternoon for a business trip. Hoping to get some fishing in early Saturday and then take a full day Sunday. Hope you can make it to the game. Jim

Atlanta area lakes
Thanks Ski! Yeah I'll have to check it out sometime and I'll let you know when I plan on heading out there. I travel alot for work but I'm pretty much done for the year so I'll have time. I'll mapblast the directions but it sounds pretty simple jumping on 20 and looking for the exit. Have you been getting skunked there lately? I went to Tuscaloosa, AL this weekend and thought I was gonna have a great weekend when I caught a 1.5 lber on my first cast and then didn't get anything for the next day and half. Oh well - Could have been at work. Let me know next time you go out there. Later man. Jim

Hey guys. Where is Charlie Elliott lake? Sounds like a solid spot but I have never heard of it and I live in Atlanta. About how far outside the city is it? Also - Is Stone Mountain even worth it? I have been out there once with no luck but figured I would see what you guys thought. Thanks.

Lake Tuscaloosa - Update
Well with beautiful weather and a 42 - 17 pounding of UT what could make the weekend any better? Well just relaxing and fishing off a dock worked for me. Actually I enjoyed myself before the game. Got up around 7 and went down to throw in a few casts before heading to tailgate for an incredibly early 11:30 game. Those of you that read my previous post know that I am fairly to new to fishing and what happens but I catch one on my first cast! I think the time of day had more to do with it than anything and of course luck. I saw a bass near the top of the surface right before I threw my pumpkin seed worm in - unweighted. I could see his backfin popping out through the water and figure hell - lets see if he's hungry. Sure enough he bit and I got em. Probly a 1lb to 1.5 lb. I'll have a picture up when I get to the office in the AM. That was the first and only fish I caught. Came back around 6:30 PM and tried with a spinner and another worm with no luck. Got up today around 8 AM and tried some more with no luck. Went up to the north river and tried off some lilly pads and inlets but didn't get a bite! Well it was still fun and perfect weather. Let me know what you think I should try next time? Hope everyone had a good weekend. Really enjoy and appreciate reading everyones feedback. Take care. Jim

General Question
I'm fairly new to fishing and will be going this weekend in Alabama on Lake Tuscaloosa. I do not have a boat and will be fishing off a dock and off the shore near some reeds. For this time of year and the location of where I'll be fishing from does anyone have any tips. Like I said, Im new to this and would love to learn methods and tricks. Will spinnerbaits work for this time of year?
