Had an I-N-T-E-N-S-E!!!!!!!!!!!! Pain in my left kidney today that put me on one knee whining like my 3 year old when I tell him its bedtime. If you haven't had this before, I *** you. My Co worker took me to the hospital because at the time, I didn't know what it was. I didn't think kidney stones would hurt that bad so I thought something else was wrong. After waiting in the lobby hunched over in agony for 40 minutes, a scan confirmed the stone. Now I am on the couch with hydrocodone hoping it will pass quickly. One question to my brothers who truly feel my pain. Does it hurt coming out? 1-10 scale? The kidney pain I felt was an absolute 10.
  2. You're right, its not often. Take advantage and take your kids fishing every weekend. Just my opinion. They will love you regardless though. good luck either way.
  3. Nscb flip & swim, if water permits. With a rage tail menace trailer. KVD 1.5 Rage tail recon worm Cavitron buzzbait Siebert outdoors brush jig. Could name 20 more but those are some favorites.
  4. I'm sure some of the rage tail guys will be along shortly to answer. I'm very curious. I highly doubt it though as every rage tail bait is a big seller.
  5. What is your all time favorite jig and trailer? Brand, color, size and trailer. I would have to say 1/2 oz siebert brush jig in Okeechobee with a Okeechobee rage craw.
  6. Jig and craw Swimbaits 10”+ worms Those 3 are your best bet.
  7. 15 mph max. any more than 15, I'm out brutha.
  8. You're on my home lake. There are tons of ponds around there within 10 miles. Grapevine is a TOUGH winter and summer bite. Tough! Try McPherson slough boat houses if you go back. Off dove loop rd near the nw end. If bank fishing you can usually buy a bite there.
  9. Order some jigs from Siebert. 3 Elite Swim 1/2 oz in Bream, 6 1/2 oz brush jigs in Grasshopper and in Falcon craw. Then went to TW and ordered some Northstar jigs, some Rage Tail anacondas, recons and craws. More line, tungstens ( wish they were cheaper ) and a few 1 & 2.5's. I have lived 1 1/2 hours from Fork my entire life and have never been. Finally took a day next month and plan on fishing from sun up to sun down. Hoping to catch a trophy on at least one of the items I bought today!!!!
  10. Did you get it while it was still fresh, or when it was all dried out and hard?
  11. H20 bluegill pattern is incredible. I like h2o's lineup alot.
  12. Yes the shake2 is the best shakey head on the market and will stand up finesse and trick worms.
  13. Honestly? Every. Single. One. I can't think of one because I buy em all. All the time. Jigs, flukes, worms, craws spinnerbaits etc. you name it. I guess flukes though. They are on the grocery list every Friday. it's funny too cause I don't fish them that often.... I AM the bait monkey!!!!!!
  14. Kvd prefect plastics do not. Elaztech does.

I need more practice and time on the water before I can join the dark side. I cant put em in the boat with a jig like I can worm, but Im working on it. I better start getting good at it though with the amount of money im spending at Seibert and Northstar
  20. Mainly a stop and go retrieve. If im on fairly clear water, I will burn it back to the boat and kill it about 10 yards before I finish my retrieve and just let it flutter down.

Is it just me, or does it seem like in the era of run and gun fishing, a good old reliable Texas rigged worm has been pushed aside? Since I can remember, worms have been pretty much a guarantee to catch atleast a fish or 2. But I rarely hear about anyone really fishing them. I personally have more confidence in worm fishing than any other lure. I know there is a time and a place for every lure but when the situation is prime for a plastic worm, I see some toss a jig instead for example. Maybe its just personal preference? Why throw a worm when a jig will work type mentality, who knows. I prefer a worm in the 6-8" range. Not too small, not too big. The Rage Tail anaconda is money for me! If I want a larger worm I go to the Rage Tail Recon, and if I want a massive worm for deep summertime fishing I go with the 10" Ragetail thumper. I also like straight tail worms like Zoom finesse and trick worms. How many of y'all still fish worms fairly regularly, and what is your plastic worm of choice?

I went through my terminal tackle today and realized that I have way too many styles of hooks. I want to get down to about 4 different hooks for all of my plastic presentations. Standard T rig hook for worms and thinner plastics. I have always used EWG but want to get away from this because the extra wide gap is not needed for these plastics. How many of yall use a standard offset hook? Do you find it better because the hook point is not directly aligned with the eye? Or find no difference at all? Light wire hooks for when I am fishing finesse worms on my ML to M power rods with 6-10# line. EWG for thicker plastics like flukes, creature baits etc. Heavy wire hooks for throwing into the nasty stuff. I know there are many more hooks and I plan on keeping a few others like finesse wide gap hooks for nose hooking flukes or wacky rigging senkos, I just want to simplify my terminal box. I pay so much attention to lures im throwing that I have never stopped to take a look at the hook style Im using and make sure it is the best hook for that particular bait. Do yall use many different hooks? Or keep it simple like I plan on doing and just use a few?
  23. Bite off a small chunk of the head.
  24. 12 lbs yo zuri. Tough as nails!
  25. I have some bull gill swim jigs that I have not even used yet, but they look awesome. My only complaint is its not available in the flip and swim . Southern bream color huh? I'm very interested!! Any time frame on the release?
