  1. I got the same as jhoffman just the smaller version.. I picked them up @ the dollar general for about $3.50.. I have a box for different plastics that I labeled with a sharpie. Ex: a box for worms, a box for senkos/finesse worms, craws, lizards, creature baits. But then again i'm a organize fanatic.. This system works well for me because when i go to get a certain bait I know where it is, and i'm not thrashing around trying to find it.
  2. Is the square bill primarily a shallow runner, or can you get them in deep diving? I truly haven't fished with crankbaits to often...
  3. This will be my first season where i am going to use the crankbait on a regular basis.. I have tried it in the past and probably give up on it to easily. My home lake has thread fins, gizzard shad, ale wives ( i hope i spelled thst right ), and bluegill. Would something in the sexy shad color or tennessee shad be more accurate for my home lake? The lower arm of the lake is real clear at least 10' visibility and the upper arm has visibility from 2'-4'... Oh yeah its a deep mountain lake.. Not very much off shore structure that isnt 70-90' deep..
  4. Sounds great guys... Seems like the KVD 1.5's are pretty popular... That is the 1.5 square bill right?
  5. My PB 6.35 smallmouth came off a Bomber 6'-8' red craw color in late March of 2006..
  6. I believe so. Citrus shad is correct it is the 12'-14' bomber fat free.. I'll have to get the exact model number...
  7. Just bought some Rapala DT16, Strike King 5XD, Bomber fat free 12'-14', and Bandit 12'-14' crankbaits the other day. Colors vary from sexy shad, citrus shad to hot mustard. Curious to see what everyone else likes to use and favorite color. So far the I'm stuck between the Rapala DT and the Strike King XD series both in a sexy/citrus shad color. How about you guys?
  8. I like the berkley trilene knot which is an improved clinch knot only it is doubled around the eye. Also have been using the san diego jam knot I really like this one. I use to only use the palomar knot, but i've broke so many of them on hook sets (my fault tying it to quickly and getting line hot) that i started experimenting. If you do use the palomar knot take your time and lubricate your line well as you must do with any knot.
  9. Have u fished @ laurel lake any?
  10. I guess you can't expect them to last forever. Been thinking about getting a Lews tournament mg. So far i have 2 Pfluegers, 1 Revo sx, and 1 black max.
  11. The only draw back i have seen to these reels is line capacity, although i have never ran out of line while fishing. Both reels of Pfluegers are super smooth and cast for a mile for 60 bucks i dont think you can beat them. I have an Abu Garcia Black Max and the Pfluegers are just better.
  12. Just picked up a Plueger Temlar today 7 ball bearing and 6.4:1 ratio along with 2 veritas rods. Ive got Pflueger Echelon ive had for years and it still performs like the day i got it. For a cheaper reel has anyone tried this reel before? Thanx
  13. I got me 2 new veritas rods today. 7' MH and a 7' M. I've been a fan of the Shimano Clarus, but after breaking 3 of them I thought i'd try these. They sure feel like they will be awesome rods.
  14. Corbin, Ky home of Laurel River Lake the Dale hollow of eastern Ky..
