  1. Try not to catch them all, save some fish for us please....
  2. I believe Amos is a private fishery Candlewood Lake and Squantz Pond are both great places for all types of fish.
  3. Lake Bungee is in west Woodstock and close to Ashford. Try calling these guys since they I believe are the closest bait shop, they might be able to help... *Ralph's Bait Shop 14 Lakeview Drive Ashford CT 06278 (860) 487-3544 Lake Bungee is actually a Private lake Use/rules of the lake and roads http://lakebunggee.org/pages/use_of_lakes_and_roads.cfm
  4. Go for smallmouths Look for rocky points Where are you launching from?
  5. One color that usually works I caught that fish on this one though
  6. Thanks Tony yesterday was awful I fished about 3 hours at one place and caught only three small LMB! Fished another later about 5pm for an hour ½ or so and caught 2 small l,b and one perch!
  7. I tried the slower retrieve and had no luck. So then I changed to a smaller senko after only a few casts and not catching any thing I put my 5" back on. Wasn't a swimming senko I was using the jerkbait much more because, that is what I was catching my fish on. My rule of thumb when I miss a lot of fish/the fish are not taking the whole lure/bait... Not in any specific order Down size Slow my retrieve Change colors for example: If I am using a moss green I may change to a black and purple or white
  8. 4.2 lbs. LMB Caught it on a yo-zuri jerkbait CT state record is 12.14 lbs. My score My Fish 4.2 CT record 12.14 4.2/12.14 x 100 = 34.6
  9. Went fishing at about 5pm after the rain stopped and the sun came out... I caught about 4 dinks with in 10 casts with mo yo-zuri jerkbait. In the time frame I has missed 2 decent LMB with a 5in senko... Both followed it close to shore but, only hit the tail end. I was getting ready to leave and decided before I go home I should try a spot on the other side of the pond. I took a cast with my senko down the shore line with and caught nothing. I then cast the jerkbait out about 15ft in front of me and about half way I got a smashing hit... AND THIS IS WHAT I CAUGHT 4.2LMB
  10. I know they are very similar but, I figured the 1st looked more likea perch... Where they are suppose to imitate a real fish I wanted to make sure I chose a good color

  12. Most of my fish have been coming from two yo-zuri jerkbaits. The one I caught yesterday I was fishing through some nice plants (not sure the name of the weeds) Pretty much either a steady retrieve or a quick stop and go I also have been getting some hits/catches on senkos 4 and 5 inch Various colors Working them slow
  13. woo freakin hoo another guy from CT sending you a pm I might go to Lake K today if not, I will be going friday
  14. Which color of this swimbait would you suggest/choose and why? or
  15. Most swimbaits will work well... I believe the smaller the size the more fish you will catch compared to the bigger 5" 6" and up. 3.5" should work well What brand of swimbait do you have? 16. What baits/lures have you been using to catch smb and lmb? What techniques/structure have you been fishing?
  17. Is there any one that uses home made/grocery store lube? If so could you give me the recipe and or the name of the product you buy?
  18. Bedding 3.7lb LM Bass ONE caught and ONE missed Simply pitched a green/white senko into semi clear water and BAM
  19. 3.7 lbs. LMB Caught it on a 4in green/white senko CT state record is 12.14 lbs. My score My Fish 3.7... CT record 12.14 3.7/12.14 x 100 = 30.5 My score My Fish 3.7 CT record 12.14 3.7/12.14 x 100 = 30.5
  20. This one came out of a bed and actually weighed 3.7
  21. Got one of a bed and my brother in law had his line snapped by a very rude lmb which was trying to ignore his grub but, instead just ripped it and the hook off the line... A lot of beds around here too It almost sucks since the water just warmed up and the fishing started to get good!
  22. After about 4 days of not hitting any lakes or ponds, I went to a small pond yesterday for about ½ an hour. The water felt VERY warm compared to other days and I seen big schools of small bass. Though I only caught one, I am sure today when I focus rather then just walking around the pond staring at the fish
  23. I forgot to mention, I may fish for carp once in a while with this reel as well... I am not someone who buys, expensive rod/reels since I usually beat them up/break them lol I am looking for something that will last some time for my self and so that when I do buy another reel, I can pass this one on to someone else.
