Perfect Hook Set

Thanks yah kindly lol I was actually talking to a go after missing one of the larger bass... I said "I guess I need to just deal with it and appreciate being able to fish right now, there are people who still don't have open water so I can't complain too much"

For sure, I am going to go back to Lake K today in hopes to scoop one up.

After a little over a week that I have missed 3-4 hogs 1 quick story of a fish i missed Fishing Lake K last week and couldn't get a bite for an hour. A let my green and white senko sit in a weeded area and notice my line shoot out WOOOO HOOO I set the hook and fight the hog to shore when my senko flies out of its face!!! For the past week I have caught dinks I went out today for about 4 hours (3 hours of fishing) I caught one in the 1st hour in about 2-3 feet of water on a recently boughten Yo Zuri jerk bait The fish hit it hard and furious and gave me a good fight all the way to shore. Here it is Lake K has been decent but, missing the hogs were heart breaking!!

Again I usually fish alone After missing some real pigs about 4 times in about a week this is the only size fish I have to show for my hard work and long hours of fishing 3.3 lbs. Caught it on a Yo-Zuri jerkbait CT state record is 12.14 lbs. My score I need to actually pull a hog out of the water!! My Fish 3.3 CT record 12.14 3.3/12.14 x 100 = 27.2

I mioght get the Extreme then. I was also looking at how much some of these reels go for on many websites to find the best deal. Please keep the posts coming you guys are like usually a big help

Nothing but a big pain... If I had left earlier I would have been able to fish the place I wanted to. On the way there an ambulance a fire truck and 2 police vehicles pass me. Since I wasn't to close to the lake I had no worries I was just about there when I found the road to be blocked by a police car So I had to take a very long detour which took ½ an hour I get to the other side and the bridge is out, they took the whole thing down to rebuild a new one! Fished the place for 15 minutes from shore, found a tick on my shoulder and left Went to 3 other places and only caught one bass So how did you do?

went home early was suppose to be called back in but never was so now I am off to try a place or two hope you can hit some good water Mike from Conn.

Very nice I am leaning toward reels 1 2 3 and 6 Please any and all reviews comments suggestions and your opinion is greatly appreciated

Took my son to lake K along with his 2 uncles. Fished the beach side with no luck Then went to a small area right near the main road (bridge) where water flows out of the lake. This spot is no wider then 10ft. My son and I both took many casts with no luck I cast my 4in senko out and let it rest while I go tie a lure on my other rod. I come back and my rod is a 4th of the way in the water. I set the hook and let my son reel in the 1lb LMB I do the same again this time I cast out my rattle trap and end up getting tangled in my senk line. After I quickly untangle my line, I reel in pretty fast when I get a yank ANOTHER small LMB... I am so confused on what methods to fish this happened to me at the local school pond some would barely hit it while others would murder my bait. Even a top water hit

I guess I could be wrong but, I have done it for a long time and never noticed any effects on the waters I fish

lol surfer I never said to sneak them out to another lake What about those bad a!! pickerel anglers, what would they think about your killing deeds! As was stated before you could/should call your local wildlife/fish and game management and explain the "issue"

I swore the more salt the slower it sinks Similar to the ocean where things will float or suspend but, in fresh water it will sink or fall faster....

That fish was about 15lbs How much are they going to charging you

LoL Nitro, unless this is a private lake you shouldn't do any thing. The only time I would suggest "fixing" a lake/pond is when all species are becoming sick, unhealthy or dying... Since this is your thread I will give you a suggestion or two anyway If you know someone who would appreciate a pickerel meal then by all means catch a few every other week or so and kindly deliver the fresh fish to that person... You could also transport the pickerel into another body of water preferably one that is larger and already holds pickerel... Bass do eat small baby pickerel as well as other fish species.. Most lakes ponds and reservoirs (man made) were not made just for BASS fishing. I am pretty much a Bass angler but, it frustrates me when people try to modify public lakes for there benefit.

61º today but, it rained through out the day and down poured at night!!! I missed a bunch of fish (soft quick hits) and even missed one on top water...

What color megabait charlie would you guys suggest? *I only fish a few places that hold both lmb smb and trout most others do not have any trout in site What size 4 5 or 6 inch? * I am fishing northern strain and targeting bass 4lb-6lb on average though there are bigger bass around here.
