  1. Feb. usually has been when the big girls start to move up to munch for the spawn. The unreal cold this yr i thought would delay them but they been killing them. Ive been unable to hit the big g this yr because of back surgury, but will be back soon! Feb, March, and April are the best for me. May want to take a look at the lunar calender if you are planning a trip. Also we have had enough cold weather for the lake to turn over this yr, should make for some fine fishin! Apple has a great fishing cal. app. for all u iphone users.
  2. Anyone ever heard about these lakes? They are in a upscale neighborhood in birmingham that were designed by Ray Scott.
  3. We use them on Guntersville! 7/0 Owner texas rigged swimmin'em over the grass. I use Go2Bait, 14". Actually i hook the worm about 2" below the top of the head so the worm comes through grass better. 8-)
  4. Splatterback is killer at Guntersville!!!
  5. Nothing against UA but this stuff worked better for me. Tops and bottoms, there great! This will come in handy at Guntersville. http://www.ibexwear.com/shop/product/1290/9451/mens-woolies-crew
  6. Tapp Tapp Tapp
  7. Make sure ya take some Green pumpkin jigs with ya! 3/4oz mop jig preferably with a gp trailor (mad paca craw). Its been very cold down here, hope it doesnt screw tour trip up.
  8. If u guys havent tried tha double fluke rig yall r missing out! u tie it with 2 swivels, one above the other with one of the leaders longer than the other, simple. We whacked'em at Guntersville this year with this tech! Aint nuthin like catchin 2 big g toads at tha same time. Used 1 zoom magnum fluke on the longer leader and a buzzsaw shad on the shorter, buzzsaw stays on top an seems ta get there attention a little better then useing just 2 regular mag flukes. Hope this tech. helps, its been awesome for me and tha guys i fish with! also the leader needs to be a larger #test than your main line cause if u get a double, and uWILL the fish pull against each other and will break! It a great way to catch schoolin fish, they r competin against each other for it an the bitez r explosive! 8-)
  9. it'll double as a great sammy/spook rod too.
  10. really comes in handy when flippin an pitchin, dont have ta swap hands back a fourth pitch after pitch. do ever thang else righty!
  11. MBR843C Simply perfect!!! GLX ofcourse. 8-)
  12. Anybody ever fished um on the bed at Dream Lake in Livingston,AL? Got a trip next fri. down there and the owner said there going to be on the bed. Just tring to find out what to expect in terms on size and quantity of fish.
  13. What they bitin guys, tour. tomorrow with the guys at work.
  14. Theres three basic big fish baits,.........................jig.....................jig......................jig! ;D
  15. Cant think of the name but it was orig. made for flipping and punching matts. The ones i have seen were 1/2-1 1/2oz. BPS sells a plastic 8-)that comes with the hook and weight.
