For what y'all have in the waters down there, I recommend nothing smaller than 30ft with very high sides.

Pack of pb crackers, candy bar, sandwich, and water, gatorade, coke. Oh, Grizzly wintergreen used to be Skoal $$$$. Don't have time for much else. "10 minute break", I would go nuts.

I have used mine but this lake didn't have a ramp, other than that, no.

Mine was a club tourney and came in 4th or 5th out of 14 to 16 boats.

It is definitely a physical sport during March and the dog days of summer. Also mentally challenging when fishing in the rain, cold and the heat.

I had one right before a tourney one time. In the dream I caught a large bass in one section of this lake throwing a Zoom frog but during the tourney no bite. I was all excited when I got to that section but nothing. :'( I came in second though

65lb Power Pro Braid, 7' MH rod 5/0 superbraid hooks. If the braid sinks to fast, use candle wax on the first 12" of the braid from the hook.

1/2 oz Daddy Franks Long Shank Spinnerbaits are great. I modify my spinners but these are great out the box.

Length of cast and length of rod also could cost you some fish on the set.
