  1. I've had it snap after a jarring backlash. It just simply doesn't like shock.
  2. Great stuff, Randall! After the holidays, I'll be in touch....get your pink spray paint out, LOL.
  3. I'd say it shoudl be fine. I run a 70 lb. on my 18' Xpress, and it's plenty powerful enough. The only time I found it lacking was during a bad day on Erie, and it was too rough to stay anyway.
  4. Well, I did spend $11.8 million on a necklace....
  5. Megabass Vision 110 is $25, whereas a LC Slender Pointer is $20. I agree, Megabass is more exotic, but only if you are looking at collector baits. For the most part, they are same as other high end hard baits.
  6. 1. Don't print at Walmart, it's a ripoff. Use prepaid from Shutterfly*. You can upload and pay from your phone. 2. If a site is still 100% flash, it probably sucks anyway, LOL. *since they use iGen presses, it indirectly supports our local economy
  7. So, you prefer spending $9 on a Rapala that will have the bill separate on a fish after you've spent the time and money to change out the hooks, or spend $12 on a bait that you fish out of the box? I don't understand. Let me put into better perspective....I see guys posting on here about video games all the time, and then say it's outrageous to spend $40 on a swimbait. Blows my mind.
  8. Spro Koppers Lucky Craft Duo Megabass
  9. What the hell is that on Kent's head, LOL. Nice smallies!
  10. Oh yeah, video and camera on the 4S..... All filmed and edited on my iPhone:
  11. I've mostly stopped buying baits with crummy stock hooks. If they cut a corner there for a buck, then where else have they cut a corner that I can't easily see.
  12. Yep, me too.
  13. They kind of already do: http://www.tackletour.com/reviewthulecastaway.html
  14. Mike, I see a problem: rod socks and reel covers create drag. This thing is probably the dumbest idea Ive seen in a while.
  15. It's a Stanley Ribbit on an Outkast RT jig. You want go at least 3/4 oz. to get the legs ripping on a slack line drop.
  16. Culprit and Berkley. I also like the big Ragetail Anacondas.
  17. I use the AVC70MHF for jigs - works great.
  18. Well that was a useless! Sorry, mispost! LOL.
  19. I wear it around the house when I'm doing my chores.
  20. My hands! Har-har.... I use the smaller FTO speed bags. Two of them stacked on top of each other takes up the same room as two 3700 Plano boxes in my tackle bag. In the boat, I use a couple of Rubbermaid bins for it.
  21. Thanks, and welcome aboard!
  22. It depends on the specific line. InvisX is soft, a bit stretchy, but it's clear and sinks. It isn't super abrasion resistant, but somewhat better. Some the really tough fluoro don't are tough to manage on spinning and casting gear.
  23. Like most boot tail baits, they don't work well without weight. The best way I've found is Owner swimbait hooks.
  24. Some braids are better at abrasion than others, but in general, they aren't very tough in this department. Put it this way, abrasion resistance will not make any list of pros for using braid.
