  1. It is a cool pic, especially the ring. In portraiture, pros call that "phantom limbs" LOL.
  2. Share your success and failures....I'm still figuring this out as well. Two seasons does not an expert make.
  3. Sounds like you need to meet another friend of mine, Mr. Floater.... I fished my noontime spot last week. 14 fish in 45 minutes, none less than 2.5 lbs. Best went about 4.
  4. Holy smokes, I can't imagine catching that on a fly reel. Bass are relative pussycats. Can you imagine this on a fly?
  5. I'd buy a nice lake.
  6. I do, but under certain circumstances. In fact, a fast action rod is ideal for traps in weeds, and worms in wood. Too fast with worms, and you lose the sling shot effect, too slow with traps, and you bring coontail back to the boat with the lure. My LTBC70MF or LTBCMHF both are up to the task.
  7. Probably not. Maybe a rod builder could be more specific.
  8. This stuff contributes nothing to the forum. Stick to fishing topics. This one is GONE!!!!!!
  9. Some do right off the rack, others get bent in a hot vehicle.
  10. You got some good advice, and for that I'm leaving this up. But this is really unnecessary, so..... This one is GONE!!!!!!!
  11. I will say that those glass rods that are close to 8' fling a big bait a mile. If you aren't covering grass cover, and want the bait in the zone longer,it might be the right choice. Not really for me.
  12. Guys, he has a question about iPad apps. Keep it on topic.
  13. Yep. Tried the KVD launcher for a day. Hated it. Heavy, clumsy, and although you can feel "things" with it, not enough for my tastes. I'll stick with my Avid Crankers - AVC70MHM and AVC70MM for most of my diving baits. From DD22 to Daiwa Peanuts, I'm covered by those two rods.

  15. Nate, soak the spool in warm water before spooling.
  16. That's a crying shame. Its a simple navigation rule.... #14: http://www.navcen.uscg.gov/?pageName=Rule1415
  17. I don't have issues with CXX up to 25#, using KVD Line & Lure Conditioner.
  18. Not with a Senko, but we catch trout on plastic worms all the time up here. 3" work well: Bats on the other hand.....not really, LOL.
  19. You forgot politics.
  20. Sure, except I land the big one. And the little one isn't actually alive ;D
  21. The Cardiff 300 will be fine for big baits. Look for used Calcuttas, though. There's good deals out there, and they're easy to bring up to better than new.
  22. JFrancho I'm still learning swimbaits, started out throwing SK King Shads & similiar baits, as mentioned in my post I have moved up to mid size baits and want to expand my swimbait game next season. May I ask what baits have been working for you? I see you are from NY the fishing there would probably be similiar to what I see in Michigan. Thanks Spro 6" Trout Slow Sink Sebile Magic Swimmers 3/4 and 1 oz.
