  1. Just one example: They don't move from depths of 20-30 to shallow several times a day.
  2. Sure, it can go that way, but his claims on what the fish are doing, and his inferences are DEAD wrong, and the explanations to why are actually impossible. There's a reason he's a tuber and not a pro. I was surprised he taught fishing. Example of bunk leaps: I caught a big fish on a junebug worm. The water was clear, so that's the best color for big fish in clear water. The bass can see that purple better, which is why it bit the bait. You should buy only junebug lures if you're fishing clear water. The bigger fish know that junebug replicates the natural forage and will go a long way to eat it. Ten years ago, green pumpkin was the clear water color, but that's an outdated technique.
  3. It's a bunch of myths that perpetuate the "buy this gear and you'll be better" junk science.
  4. I'm not even 3 minutes in, and I'm tuning out. Totally full of it.
  5. That part also serves as a sacrificial anode. There might be two more rectangular metal parts on the sides of the LU that serve this purpose, too. Chances are, you have one without the fin. Most of my motors had them, one didn't. They are adjustable, but I never had to. I can imagine much of that fin is in the water once on plane, since it's just below the cavitation plate. Maybe it helps during hole shot.
  6. I bet Mike @Delaware Valley Tackle could make you a sweet one for a reasonable price. I miss my 6' pistol grip rod to this day. Stupidly sold it a garage sale thinking it was too old school.
  7. The site is reactive, and automatically adjusts the layout based on screen size. You can see it on a PC/Mac by slowly shrinking the browser window. It's pretty cool. If for some reason you need to see the full site on a smaller device, choose "View Full Version on Mobile" from the Theme drop down at the bottom of the page.
  8. I think that's enough fun for one thread.
  9. Nice Whaler! Have you talked to your dealer to see if anyone else has tried this? The hand control mentioned above is the only thing I can think of that would work.
  10. I'll laugh at you I started this when my hands were too cold to work right. Now it's habit.
  11. A picture is worth ten-thousand words. Let's see the bow of the boat.
  12. A pill that recreates the feeling of catching a PB...
  13. 5-6 wraps is plenty for me. Tip: I hold the loop in my left, run the tag through the loop with my right, and hold the tag in my lips, while I position my right for the next run through the loop. I use my lips as a third set of fingers.
  14. I probably wouldn't have repaired that unless I was selling.
  15. Doesn't seem right. The last pic looks normal.
  16. Hand made, tested, and tuned baits command a higher price than production line baits.
  17. https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/guidelines/ I have a dispute with 'company X'. Can I post about it here? While we can empathize with your frustration, the best course of action is deal directly with the company. Escalate it up the ladder, file a grievance with PayPal or Ebay (if they were involved with the transaction). File a mail fraud complaint with the post office. There are other options, but attacking the company in a public forum is not appropriate nor allowed. Such posts will be removed.
  18. I hope I’m remembered for more than a fish. Anyway, let’s get back on topic - if there’s anything left to discuss here…
  19. No one pays that much for a Hinkle. 1/3 that is high.
  20. Keep it around. There's 1001 uses for it around the house. Last time I used spare line, I hung a picture frame.
  21. Do you mean invasive mute swans?
  22. War and Peace. The working title of this book was originally, War, What is it Good For?
