Your Usage Theory On Drop Shot Weights ?
Try sliding a heavier flipping weight on the tag end, upside down, and tie a small split ring on below that.

Your Usage Theory On Drop Shot Weights ?
When I drag, I also like something heavy enough to keep the bait in place. This method uses a really heavy weight, but works really well: https://www.bassresource.com/fishing/dropshot-bedding-bass.html

Paddletails = pbs?
17+ lb. bag of smallies from Oneida in a tournament that I came 2nd in. Was throwing an umbrella rig with Keitechs on 1/8 oz. J-Will heads.

I'm about to go through all my stuff using the three bins method: keep, toss, and sell. Then I can load up the Plano boxes for spring. Maybe I can get the 500 sq. ft. of my basement back, lol.

Kayak bowfishing
We can both stick bamboo reeds under our finger nails, while watching water boil, drinking kombucha, and listening to a chorus recital that doesn't involve our own kids. It's still better than fishing a C-rig.

Your Usage Theory On Drop Shot Weights ?
That's some of the point. On Erie, you don't want those schooling, mid column rats getting a good look. You want the lazy, slob lurkers at the bottom. I probably said above, twice, I start at 1/2 oz. and move up from there.

Never give up, man.

Graphite Chatterbait Rod
The same as an XF keeps a fish pinned with any other lure, be it jig, T-rig, topwater, jerkbait, spinnerbait, or other. For Chatterbaits, I use 12-15# Tatsu or Invisx.

I can tell you from personal experience, a come-along and a friend come in handy getting over fallen trees when navigating creeks in my Xpress, lol.

He's not the first, and won't be the last, if rules allow.

Graphite Chatterbait Rod
I wouldn't fish anything with a hook that big with anything less than a fast taper, and more like an X-fast for me. Power would be up to the weight of the bait, M or MH usually. I like 6-8 to 6-10 for chatters. Graphite. Always.

Dick's Sporting Goods what are they thinking
In some ways, online ordering has opened the door to niche B&M stores. I've already seen it in some categories. I could see the same with fishing gear.

FITT Baits ????
Not sure why you hesitated. The Chilly Willy is a very good SMB bait. On a DS, a Draggin' Head, Ned, or whatever you like throwing. They have a cult following on the Susky.

Get me in a kayak- Big boy kayak?
I don't know how you couldn't use a paddle for tiny positioning adjustments. Its an advantage of using a kayak, being able to quietly move around things to make a perfect cast. You are essentially sneaking up on them. I can't tell you how many fish I've caught that I've seen first. Sort of debunks that myth that if you see them, they see you so don't bother.
