Doug Hannon Q&a With BassResource.com
They were in a different forum category, on a different software platform, possibly residing on a different server. Since the forum was removed due to inactivity, and some time later, the forum was migrated to a new software platform, those old posts are gone.

Food/cooking Forum
Bout every two years, there's a food thread, and someone asks for a food forum. I doubt there would ever be enough traffic to support an entire forum category.

Hard Wiring Hds To Battery
Something isn't right, then. As far as removing the panel, knock yourself out - my Xpress has no fuse panel, but everything is fused or has a breaker.

What A Drag.......
I think a beginning angler should measure their drag, just to get an idea of just what 2 lbs. or 5 lbs. feels like. So often, we caught up in reading stats that we don't really know that just because one reel has a stated max drag of 24 lbs, and another is 11 lbs., doesn't mean the reel with the higher max drag is a better reel.

Hard Wiring Hds To Battery
This usually has meant the cranking batt was going bad, not a drop at the fuse panel.

Talking Buzzbaits
Tournament results from Oneida this past Saturday: 1. Steve B. / RC B. 20.04 lbs 2. TJ D. / Chris K. 19.62 lbs 3. John / Raul 19.39 lbs Lunker SM 4.04 lbs 4. Jim / Jim 19.34 lbs Lunker LM 4.59 lbs 5. Casey / Jeremy 19.27 lbs 6. Nick / Pat 16.80 lbs The 4th place team, Jim Sr. and Jr. had nothing in the well after 2 PM. Jim reportied tying a buzzbait on, and between he and his father, boated around 30 fish, the best five going almost 20 lbs. Not enough for the win, but any time you're scraping the duece-0, your doing well.

Sufix 832 Color?
I have no idea about teflon coating or whatever....treating my own line with the KVD prolongs the fading process GREATLY. As in untreated line is faded in a day of fishing, and months old treated line is still holding much of it's color. I don't make this stuff up, or repost something I read - I post these from my own experience to help you guys. Sorry, that's not really directed right at you, just something funny I notice all the time. If you don't care about the fading, then don't bother with the treatment. In some cases, I prefer worn in braid, especially with lighter baits.

Backing Questions
I use a small diameter line as backing. Smaller connection knot.

Hudds - cast out, and pretend it's a jig.

Siebert Outdoors Jigs
Got my order of jigs and spinnerbaits a couple weeks ago. Love the new Dredge Footballs, and my new Storm Series jig.

Braid For Everything?
I use straight braid, straight fluoro, straight mono, and braid with various leaders. All have their time and place. I will say, if I was tied to one rod, I'd rig up a mh/f spinner with 20# braid, and keep a selection of tippet material for whatever situation I ran into.

Eva Or Cork?
I like cork and burl cork, but really I don't notice, so long as the EVA is about the same hardness as old school cork. What I really dislike is EVA for the butt cap. It catches on my shirt too easily. Cork or plastic doesn't.

Sufix 832 Color?
1. Not really. 2. Treating braid with KVD L&L prolongs the fading process.

Sufix 832 Color?
I do, but I color the last few feet of line with a green or black sharpie.

Hard Jerkbait Vs Fluke?
They are two completely different classes of lure. We recently had a VERY GOOD discussion of this very topic: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/125810-soft-plastic-jerkbaits-vs-hard-jerkbaits-kind-of-a-rant/

Measuring Line Question
The ratio is constant, but the circumference changes, therefore so does inches per turn (IPT). As you cast line out, the circumference decreases, and so does the retrieve rate.
