Fishing Lines. (Whos The Boss, Who's Taken Over?)
Braid, copoly, nylon mono, fluoro, etc - all are just different tools that excel in certain conditions. Weeds: braid. Abrasion, general: copoly. Cranking, jigs, drop shot, and other finesse: fluoro. Topwater: nylon mono. Nothing I said is cut in stone....

Getting Over The Color Barrier W/ Red Hooks Lets Talk
Any red hooks I tried had the finish wear off quickly and then oxidized. Nickel works fine for me.

Is Weedless Really Weedless
This sounds more like user error, though nothing is 100% weed proof. If you think these aren't good designs for fishing weeds, try tossing a crankbait with treble hooks in the weeds, and see what works better. Jigs have a brush guard. It helps keep them from hanging up on brush and timber. Some head designs are more weedless than others. A classic Texas rig is very weedless, especially if you leave the sinker to slip on the line. When you hit some weeds, shake it a bit to get it through, not yank it through. I've found that a jika rig has replaced 90% of my T-rig fishing, as it penetrates weeds better with lighter weights. Lastly, some baits and trailers have a lot of bulk or width to them, and don't slide through weeds as well as others. I trick worm will come through grass better than a big creature bait with appendages.

Looking For A Worm Rod For Around $100
This is a very competitive price point. Just about every rod in this range will work fine. Pick what appeals to you. There aren't too many duds out there, so you can be confident.

Creature Vs Beaver Vs Craw
Whatever I feel like, though I prefer the craws on jigs and jika rigs.

How Many Of You Dont Eat Fish?
Some rolls are made with raw fish, then the entire roll is dipped in tempura and fried. The fish is usually still raw, but the coating gives the roll a crispy texture. Other rolls are made with cooked fish. Always ask your server to clarify what you're ordering. If they cannot, leave. Seriously. Here is a fire California roll, dipped and deep fried. And here is a Miami roll, which is half dipped in tempura and fried: This is a bento (box) lunch. Everything here is cooked. It's some stir fry chicken dish. And here is another bento, tempura shrimp and veggies with ngere sushi. The shrimp and veggies are obviously cooked. The spicy tuna roll up left and the maguro ngere (tuna shushi) are raw.

Godfreys Pond Near Batavia Ny
Fishing yesterday was tough all over locally, what with all the rain and the blistering cold front that moved through. Smaller ponds are more affected by this, as well. Godfrey can be pretty good, but you have to grind them out.

Tie On Spinnerbaits??? Split Rings
A knot passes through cover (weeds and timber) better than a snap swivel. Poppers seem to work better without a split ring or snap. I suggest learning an improved cinch knot. It is very easy to tie, even with my shaky hands. You can always add a split ring to a popper, and then use a light #2 duo lock snap, but snap swivels are notoriously weak. For spinnerbaits, you can slide a piece of 1/4" tubing over the R-bend, and use a duo lock to connect to the spinnerbait, but it won't be nearly as weedless or snagless. For crankbaits, I remove the split ring, and use a duo lock snap. No issues there. Here's the snap I referred to:

An 18' boat with a 150 can go 60+, depending on the load and hull design.

Are most of those hatches center hinged? That's a good move, if so. Nice looking!

Trailer Colors
http://www.ragetail.com/news/color-charts/rage-craw-color-selection/ Blue Bug both Blue Sapphire #1 Bama Craw #1 (my all time favorite color, trailer or straight up) Summer Craw #2 Blue Craw #2 Really, anything that looks nice to you, lol. x2 on the JJ's. I've been dipping the claw tips in methiolate (pink) JJ's lately. Gives the darker colors a rusty look.

How To Get The Fishy Smell Off
Old school Crest toothpaste or a stainless steel "soap bar." work the best.

Bummed
Hold you over? It will probably change your fishing forever. For the better. I fish out of a kayak, as well as owning two bass boats. For the most part, my biggest fish have come from the kayak. The deliberate and planned fishing that a kayak demands has meda me a better boat fisherman as well.

Shimano Size 50 Baitcasters
I actually got to play with this combo. Let's just say it was nice, lol.

Shimano Size 50 Baitcasters
Save for a paint job, and a few other VERY minor differences, the Curado 50e and Chronarch 50e are the same reel.

Putting On Baitcast Handle
You probably over tightened the nut (73), deforming the keyed notch in the crankshaft (56). The only solution is to replace part 56. I see this a lot on many DIY reels. Also makes it next to impossible to the drive gear and drag stack (57-62) with out grinding the deformed flange created on the crank shaft. As far as the rest of the issues, a proper cleaning should last you a season or more, no matter the cost of the reel.

150Hp
All this would do is limit travel range and add parity on smaller lakes. It might be of marginal help to rookie pros moving up the ranks, but not enough to offset all the other costs. I'm not following the safer aspect, though. How would the lower HP restriction make things safer. Would be interesting to see how a tournament on big water like Champlain, Oneida, Thousand Islands would shake out. 18' boats with 150's on them doesn't sound safer to me. The format works on MLB, though - quite nicely, too. But that's one lake for a few days.

There are a few yummy options for 50 size reels in the JDM realm.
