  1. Core and Chronarch both come in 50 size and are in production.
  2. I have a Delta Sonic Speed Pass sticker on my truck.
  3. Is this for the Elites, or all BASS sanctioned tournaments?
  4. Could be a koi or fancy goldfish.
  5. What car? I only made it to 0:04, lol.
  6. We had a couple guys with them in our club. On long distance trips, they seemed like they were filling up constantly. I know the fuel economy is comparable amogst brands, but do they have a small tank or something?
  7. Saint Croix AVC79HF would handle those baits. I have a custom build on that blank (main differences are full rear grip and spiral micros) and it works for all that. Nice, light, and sensitive too. You can see it on the deck, with an HPH tied on.
  8. How heavy a boat? Makes a big difference. I tow my 22' Bullet with a 1/2 ton Sierra. 6.2l, towing package, 4x4, Z71 suspension, 6 sp. auto. If I did it again, I'd skip the Z71. The ride is a little rough, and I get a bit of wheel hop on bumpy roads. No issues getting to speed or stopping while towing.
  9. Line size matters if you use a Uni to Uni, but if you move to the Albert (Modified Albright) then you'll have no troubles. http://www.stripersonline.com/a/albertos-knot
  10. The main difference between my bass baits and mike/musky baits is hook size.
  11. I've had doubles on traps and jerkbaits. I've also had them on umbrella rigs, but that doesn't really count in my book.
  12. They generally set to getting the obstruction out of their face. They'll rub on the bottom, shake their head at the surface, or sometimes ignore it if it's a small hook.
  13. No Good and Crest pretty much summed it up. I'll bubba shot in heavy cover using a baitcaster, but the gear is all different. ww2farmer (I think) turned me onto using a bullet punch weigh, reversed on the tag line and a small split ring to keep the sinker from slipping. Big creatures and worms on a heavy wide gap weedless hook (Owner Wide Gap Plus, or Rig'n Hook) work well. I use anywhere from a mh to my flipping stick for this.
  14. For years, I thought the same. It simply grossed me out. But, I eventually tried it, and turns out I love it. It's very good for you, too. For what it's worth, the California roll in the back, the eel in the lower left, the shrimp, and the octopus are smoked, steamed or "cooked" in some way. I think the octopus is "cooked" in a marinade. Not sure about it though. If you're going to try it for the first time, I recommend a veggie roll, or tempura, which is battered and deep fried. When you're ready to graduate, the smoked eel is excellent. For raw fish, I recommend starting out with a spicy tuna roll. Tuna is very bland and has a unoffensive texture. Squid on the other hand....uh, no thanks!
  15. That is a versatile bait. T-rig, C-rig, Rage Rig, jig trailer, shaky head, unweighted like a toad....
  16. Yes....
  17. You can see my swimbait stick on the deck in this picture. It's good with baits to about 3.5 oz.
  18. StrongBass Largemouth, 8" Punker, 9" Slammers, 8" BBZ-1
  19. Slammers, Hardgills, and 68s are about my biggest baits. I threw some bigger stuff, but these are the ones that produce for me.
  20. $13.95 and comes with miso soup and ginger salad.
  21. I think some are taking khong's point to the extreme. In some respects, I agree - spinning IS easier for a beginner. I find it is often best to hand a beginner - adult or child - a spinning rod. It takes just a few minutes of instruction to get them fishing and catch (hopefully) and it is far less discouraging than casting gear. If you can make it easy for them, then they will be more likely to enjoy fishing. All that said, I have several of both. They all have a time and place.
