Possible New Bass Species
"Sunfish" is a common name for a family called Centrarchidae, to which several species of black bass belong. But in common terms, "black bass" refers to a subset of "sunfish" consisting of six or so species.

Spinner Bait: Attaching To Line Tangle Problem ?
Anything up there will just gather weeds. Leave a 1/2" or so tag end on your knot, and the weeds will slide off with just a little pop of the rod tip.

Frogging Rod Recommendation
I use a 7'6" flipping stick or 7' MH/F for frogs. Never been impressed with any so called "frog rod."

Spinner Bait: Attaching To Line Tangle Problem ?
I can tie an improved clinch knot faster than trying to mess with tubing and a snap. Snaps have their place, but not here. Practice your knot, and tie direct. The knot on a spinnerbait takes a lot of abuse and should be retied frequently anyway.

The Most Effective Technique?
I find keeping my bait in the water is most effective. What that bait is, is highly dependent on where I'm fishing. There's no one magic bullet.

That's funny, I just swapped out a JDM Zillion for a Chronarch e7 on my Teaser. What a versatile rod.

Northeast Spring Bass Fishing........doesn't Count.
You're not wrong. We worked VERY hard hammering our elected officials a few years back, and we were heard. Just this year, we got Oneida Lake added to the C&R fishing as well. Now we just have to get Region 6 on board with the program.

Allright Fellow New Yorker's.......
Hey man, cut "The Kill Switch Kid" some slack! I actually had the whole thing torn apart, looking at the cylinders. Couldn't find anything wrong. Went to pump up the ball, and try during her up, nothing but air. What a maroon. A relieved maroon, that is.

Allright Fellow New Yorker's.......
Turns out its just my own stupidity. Sticky flair arm in the gas tank, so I thought I had more gas than I did, and ran out. Lol.

Walking The Dog While Sitting Down In A 'yak Or Canoe
I gues a shorter rod might make it easier, but I originally did it with a 7' 6" flipping stick. I think I probably used a 6' 8" rod when I was sitting in my kayak.

Walking The Dog While Sitting Down In A 'yak Or Canoe
I actually learned this sort of by accident/necessity. I was getting tired of my line getting caught in lily pads while walking a mouse/frog type bait, and started getting it to walk with the rod tip up, keeping the line from getting tangled in the pads. Later, a light bulb went off in my head, and I used the same technique for spooks while sitting in the kayak.

You can do it with a gentle up stroke or side stroke. Takes some practice.
